    Found her. If anyone else is having this problem, here is an easy solution: Join the vampires in the Dawnguard DLC, and accept the quest to turn your wife into a vampire. The quest marker will lead you right to her!

    You get his mask, which adds resistance to shock spells and increases the damage of your shock spells. Better than that though, you will be able to read the word wall behind him without getting interrupted.

    Dunmers make the best vampires because of their resistance to fire, plus they look bad-ass. So they're my fav.
