Unfortunately, like every other extremist (of any kind), Michael Moore twists his "facts" around to only support his personal views. He is the Rush Limbaugh of the left wing. He may not outright lie (emphasis on may), but he doesn't tell the entire truth.
It's a pity that typed words on a computer cannot fully communicate my utter contempt for people like Moore and Limbaugh.
I can understand not liking Michael Moore, and I can
definitely understand not liking Rush Limbaugh. But I don't see the comparison, personally.
Michael Moore attacks the right based on facts. He may not tell the "whole truth", like you say, but what person in the media does these days? Moore presents intelligent arguments, and while many may not agree with him, he never outright insults people the way Limbaugh does. Although, I'll admit I didn't like the way he treated Charlton Heston in Bowling for Columbine.
Also, if you actually watch any of Moore's movies, you'll see that he attacks the left quite often as well.
Limbaugh is suffering from what I like to call "Hindenburg's Syndrome". He's just a big blimp full of hot air and all he does is taunt, insult and humiliate those he disagrees with. He called Chelsea Clinton a dog for God's sake, when she was only 13 years old. Limbaugh is just full of hatred.
I would make the argument that Bill Maher is actually more like Limbaugh. I like Bill Maher though, because I agree with him more often, and he's an
actual comedian, not someone who hides behind the line "I was only joking", after he says something controversial.
Here's the biggest difference in my humble opinion:
Bill Maher and Michael Moore have the balls to go right into the 9th circle of Hell (Fox News) and debate people like Bill O'Reilly on his own show. Limbaugh never goes on MSNBC or John Stewart, because he wants a closed, and unfair, platform to go on his diatribes.
