One good thing, the Empire has the loyalty of the Orcs, now they're a force to be reckoned with. Give me an Orc Legion or two and I'd conquer half of Tamriel.

I still wonder how many Aldmeri soldiers it might have took to get a single Orc down. Altmer may be great in height, but Orcs are frickin' tanks.
One of the Orcs at one of the Markarth mines even mentioned killing a few during the Great War if I remember correctly.

On the other hand; who knows, maybe we'll return to an apocalyptic Tamriel in TES6 because Orcs are still classified as elves... good thing they don't really have much of a history when it comes to working with the Aldmeri Dominion like the Bosmer.

Adding onto that. Orcs owe a debt to the Empire, especially the Legions. The 7th and 15th Legions stepped into harms way to aid the Orcs at their most desperate time of need. Putting themselves into harms way for the Orcs, which as noted by an Orc many more of them would of died if it wasn't for those two Legions. They escorted the Orcs to safety and now they have reestablished their kingdom.

lol

This place has been quiet recently. :)

Simply put, if the Orcs can get close to the Thalmor ~ They're dead.

Counting Orsimium, this brings the Empire up to a total of (4) Provinces, not to mention (5) if we decide to count Morrowind's strong economic alliance with the Empire thru East Empire Co.

The fact the Legion is composed of so many different races is an encouraging thought. Esp that of Redguards.

The Empire needs a strong leader, so whoever replaces TMII had better damn well have their pl*ps straight and their spine on right.

Although I'll say this for the Legion. They need to become a little more aggressive and assertive... that will take time and prob is not going to happen until the Empire can prove itself again. They're not bad, it's just they need to adopt a more vicious, not gonna wait for you to kill me in my sleep attitude.

Kinda like shoot first ask questions later.

To the person who inquired:

While I can understand where the Thalmor are coming from, I've said it before and I'll state it again:

The Thalmor are NOT good for Tamriel as a whole. If they want the Dominion back, then let 'em have at it. The Empire did not have that strong a grip in Summerset Isle anyway... or Valenwood apparently.

However, the rest of Tamriel will suffer horribly at their hands. Given the way Thalmors have been doing business so far, one has no need to worry about them for too long.

The Thalmor had everything going for them at the onset of The Great War. However, they took on too much and were too mobile. Their clearly defined goals melted away from lust for Conquest.

Of course if Skyrim should successfully secede, then it might actually be a different story. I wouldn't look for the Thalmor to make the same mistake twice.

Tullius' Auxiliaries are another story though. The Legion can be aggressive and in the past have been extremely aggressive in war. Skyrim isn't a very good example on the Legions, since they're not the proper Legionnaires but a Militia. Also they're not invading, and Tullius is fighting two battles. Political and Military, if he could just replace the Jarls with his Legates the war would be over more quickly.

The Empire did not have that strong a grip in Summerset Isle anyway... or Valenwood apparently.

The Empire didn't have a grip on anywhere. It's how they lost Morrowind, Valenwood, Elsweyr, Summerset Isle, Black Marsh. They weren't abandoned by the Empire, the Empire merely lost the grip over them and released their grasp to recover more closer to home.

I don't fault the Empire for releasing the provinces they did. It's always easy to say the Empire abandons you the second it can, but it wasn't a choice they did lightly. The destruction the Oblivion Crisis brought was total loss of Imperial authority. The Empire had to cut losses, stabilize then it could deal with other matters.

The provinces took advantage of the Empire's weakened state.

While Ocato was a good man, he was a reluctant ruler. The Empire needed a strong Emperor, the Mede Dynasty was a blessing. It brought them a ruler that was respected by the Legions, respected by Skyrim who endorsed him as their Emperor. He also took the Empire from the hands of Emperor Thules the Gibbering, which many people forget when they talk about the Mede Dynasty. That Mede was a lot better than the Emperor that had claimed the throne, luckily Mede took it from him.

Perhaps I'm oversimplifying things, but maybe the Nords didn't need to start a civil war benifical to the Dominion when their Empire barely bothered to enforce the Talos worship ban? They talk about selling honor when the Imperials were trying to pull a fast one on the elves.

The Empire has been around in all the TES games. Doubtful they'd suddenly remove their baby, could see a new Fourth Empire pop up at some point.

I often wonder if that pisses off diehard Stormcloak lovers. Every time they load Skyrim, giant symbol of the Empire is there to greet them.

Even TESO had to finally add the epic Imperials to play as.

No Way! You can play as an Imperial now? That's *Awesome* I had always wondered about that. Well how 'bout that then. Maybe they'll throw some Imperial Armor/Weapons our way as well.

$79.99 Holy Mackeral. Looks nice though. Well, I guess you'll get what you pay for. I dunno though... I like the idea of being an Imperial and going my own way. And you all know damn well the Imperial stuff is going to be useful. *tempting*

Many people think ZeniMax is being money grubbing. This is a subscription MMO and you will have to pay 15 dollars a month in order to be able to play it. Now, usually that means you don't have to worry about paywalls. But that is not the case. Like a Free-To-Play MMO, Zenimax wants to ask you money on top of the 15 euros for content. And the Imperial Special Edition is a good example of that. Without that edition, you won't be able to play as an Imperial AND you won't be able to join the faction you want to join. That is a privilege to the people who are willing to pay more.

Money is how the world works. ZeniMax has been working on this game for coming up seven years, the costs of the game, the costs of paying your employees, the costs of adding virus protections to the game, the costs of testing the game and then they'll constantly be spending money updating, fixing and generally maintaining a game that will have millions of players on their servers.

ZeniMax needs a return investment, them trying to make money is natural. Without a good return, something of this scale could ruin a company. If ZeniMax ever went under, it could cause Bethesda to go under. Being that Bethesda is a subsidiary of ZeniMax.

I understand everything costs money. But not a single MMO works like this. It is either FTP with a play wall, or subscribtion based without paywalls. They want both. Hence why people are outraged.

Also, they changed the TES lore; something Bethesda is really pissed off about. They come off as money grubbing asses

They share the same building with Bethesda Game Studios. Any errors are also the fault of Bethesda, who fail to inform them or work with them to a perfect standard. Bethesda makes mistakes on their own lore too, so majority of the errors are minor things Bethesda overlooks too.

ZeniMax owns Bethesda, so Bethesda is money grubbing too.

Okay. But it also shows how money is more important than the game itself. They just change the lore they've worked so hard on.
Paywalls on top of a monthly subscription is really unacceptable. It is like being subscribed to NetFlix but having to pay if you want to see the last bit of your show. Also, they are not honest in their commercials. Commercials and trailers show that you have access to whatever race and whatever faction - like in every other TES game. But if you read a bit more into it, you figure out that you can only play certain races and join certain factions with certain races if you are willing to buy the special deluxe edition.

That is Bethesda's doing, they're the publisher.

Nope. Zenimax came up with this policy, as far as I am concerned..
Hmm. Waitz, here is an interesting video. It is quite long but it starts at 15:40

Bethesda is doing the marketing, ZeniMax is just developing the game.

The voice acting of John Cleese, Bill Nighy, Kate Beckinsale, Alfred Molina, Michael Gambon, Malcom McDowell and Peter Stormare in TESO may please you.
