Black Orchid

Death Incarnate
Black Orchid is probably one of the Dark Brotherhood's biggest advocates, but even she believes that the senseless slaughter of innocents is a waste of her dark talents.

I've always viewed Orchid as a high-profile assassin, so it is without surprise that she prefers to go after high-profile targets. Whether they're good or evil makes no difference; whether they're someone of importance does make a difference. Challenging, high-reward targets are always the best; the rest get kicked to the curb.

Poor Astrid failed to see the big picture in the end.

But there was one who embraced the truth...

Well it wasn't a quest, but I had helped/been helped by a couple of Vigilants of Stendarr near Whiterun, I helped them fight a few vampires and they helped me fight a few bandits. Afterwards they even acted friendly toward me whenever we met again. Well, on a trip walking back to Whiterun from Windhelm I came across the body of one of the Vigilants of Stendarr I had known with a Flame Atronach hovering over her. I actually felt upset, and well, the Flame Atronach was sent back to Oblivion.

A lot of people complain about how rude the Vigilants of Stendarr can be, and say they're useless because of Dawnguard, but I've come to actually like the Vigilants of Stendarr, and I wish they were a faction you could join.
Totally disagree. Usually my characters just kill them and the Thalmor. Cannot stand religious, judgemental zealots.

Not to be "that guy", but pretty much every single person/group you meet in Skyrim is a "judgmental zealot" (or is really bad in other ways) in one form or another. While the Vigilants of Stendarr can definitely be rude, they're definitely not like the Thalmor. The Vigilants of Stendarr spend most of their time hunting actual daedra (ie: evil monsters), and in my experience, they're more than willing to help the player character, even if you're wearing a full set of daedric armor (oh Bethesda, you really stick to your lore). Despite their semi-threatening taunts, have you even seen them escorting/chasing/fighting anybody that wasn't a deadra/vampire/bandit?

Having written a paragraph length defense of the Vigilants of Stendarr, I should add that maybe I'm just grateful that they took the time to go out of their way to climb a hill to help me fight some bandits (despite me wearing the Savior's Hide). :Dragonborn:

Mighty Pecan Pie

The secret American
*Spoilers*

I had to do this daedric quest. where you had to sacrifice a trusted person, a friend. As I was the Harbinger, I picked Athis. "I never thought they actually let me join, but it seems they let anyone in these days" <--- That line annoyed me so much, I'm the Harbinger ffs.

So, I sacrificed him. That wasn't horrifying.. But then I ended the rest of the quest, returned to the companions. And I hear that line again.. Turned around, and Athis his face was full in my screen  I jumped up from my chair. Freaking Athis, I kill him and he trolls me.

Drewski

Relaxing on Revis Island, with Revis and Holmes :(
The whole `Laid To Rest` quest is pretty dark to say the least...especially the Child saying that the vampire wanted to turn her so that she could `play with her forever`....very gothic...

I like that they can cure your diseases, granted disease isn't as annoying as it was in previous games. But still a nice thought.

Daelon DuLac

How do you backstab a Dragon?
I've completely changed my mind about Narfi. He's not a pitiful wreck who has harmed no one. I found Reyda's necklace, and in thanks he gave me a Daedra heart. That is not something you find in remote Ivarstead unless you are a shady character dabbling in dark arts.
Or are a secret Vigilan of Stendar :) (They hunt daedra don't they... :))

I didnt think of that, but now you mention it....

i find it surprising how many alchemists have deadric hearts as well.

Daedra must be easier to kill than I thought. :D Dunno what made it easy for them. I had a hard time going through Azura's Star on low difficulties at low levels. Maybe the alchemists know a backdoor or got a 100% Mehrunes' Razor.

Narfi is not innocent, or Some mod change thinks. Previous playthrough i found narfis chest. It suggest that Narfi own only half of what was inside. He hide chest, toget all. Somero female own other half, but Narfi didnt not want give it to her.

It's also a good possibility that some hardy adventurer who had no use for the Daedra heart sold it to the alchemist for some much needed coin.;)

Yeah I agree with you and my idea of the ways alchemists acquire Daedra hearts is kind of lame as well. Not kind of.

So I just found out that Narfi, one of the Dark Brotherhood targets (homeless dude in Ivarstead) is actually a poor mentally disabled guy who has lost his parents and his sister! I killed him in my first playthrough and that pisses me off.
The Dark Brotherhood is going down.:cowboy:

Anything you found out later that you were a little disturbed by?

Yes I did the DB quest once and even though I love Shadowmere, I think I can do without him so I can destroy the DB :)
