I play an orc assassin called Hogg Mordak on master. Beserker and dual dagger sneak power attacks work very nicely indeed, and I always have the option of bashing the crap out of someone with more substantial weapons if I feel like it. I think you can make orcs look pretty shifty so that...
For me I like orcs because Beserk is a great ability, also with most characters I'd make I'd typically put something into smithing and enchanting so that's also a plus. I like to play stealth as trying to sneak up on people is difficult yet rewarding when you pull off the kill - whereas I feel...
Here's a build I'm running with now to give you some ideas, so far it's very fun:
Just ignore the questions, I couldn't be bothered to edit them out. From what I've heard leveling up Alteration and an Armour skill to full is unnecessary as at high levels your character won't tend to die often...
@ Deathhand: Yeah I guess I was sneak constantly for bow sneak attacks, still I didn't expect it to level up like that!
@ Ebony Knight: Don't worry I am a stealth character. This is my first proper shot at an assassin.
So I've just started a new character, and what I do with all my characters so far is go from Helgen to Riverwood to Bleak Falls Barrow to do the Golden Claw quest. I started with an orc and in this short space of time my sneak has already levelled up to 40! I have the warrior stone activated so...
Thanks for the response, I guess I'll get the perk anyway if it's fun! Does anyone have any answers to my questions or not? I'm starting the character now so I guess I'll find out soon enough.
Okay I want to play an assassin, and I want them to be awesome. I don't want general perk advice, I thought I would post up what I was thinking in line of perks and you can poke holes in my build so I can make it better. I've also got a few relevant questions I'll include as a go on. Here it...
Just wanted to clarify that if you get the Conditioning perk there's no penalty for sneaking in heavy armour? Also what about the Steed Stone as it says it mitigates movement penalties? I want to know because I want to make a Khajiit assassin using bows primarily but then claws as a back up...
Got any fun themed builds - they can be based on anything like a fantasy character from a book or just whatever you can think of? Here's mine:
The Grim Reaper
Concept: Your character literally believes they are the embodiment of death. They harvest souls, raise the dead and suck the life out...
Well thanks for the responses, maybe I won't focus on making this character as unkillable as I first thought if it's quite needless at high levels. I'll bear in mind using potions to craft better enchanted items and also sticking the fortify enchants on armour.
I'm trying to make the ultimate tank build. I figure Breton + Lord's Stone + Alteration + Alchemy + Smithing + Heavy Armour + Block + Enchanting is the way to go. I'll use Alchemy to cover holes in my resistances, and try to get them all as close to max as possible. My question is, how close can...
