Just a theory but they could be coming from the Greybeards at the request of Paarthurnax. After all he is a dragon and may be able sense you using a shout.

Perhaps things you've come across such as ore deposits or locations of specific plants for alchemy, or better yet where the hell you've stored everything in your house.
Actually if going by the and previous games, ebony comes from morrowind, in fact you come across many deposits and ebony mines in morrowind most are under imperial control.
What happened to the climbing ability that argonians were supposed to get and also the ability to run on all fours for khajits. This was mentioned by the developers that they were going to add them so why didn't they?

To make arrows first you need the appropriate perk in the smithing skill tree e.g. Steel smithing for steel arrows, Dwarven smithing for dwarven arrows etc, then you need 1 ingot of the needed metal and 1 firewood.
Example:
Iron Arrows - 1 x Iron Ingot, 1 x Firewood
Steel Arrows - 1 x Steel...
Mind you Proudspire Manor in Solitude was 25,000 to buy and 11,000 to upgrade.

Which Faction did you side with, if you sided with the vampires you need to use vampire seduction and then bite him to turn him into a thrall, then instruct him to goto Castle Volkihar. I don't know what you need to do if you sided with the Dawnguard faction as i have not done that side yet.
