Hosts of Destruction
RULES:1.The story begins with a storyteller and players. The storyteller is the person who entwines the plotline together into a story, and the players are left to figure out their history and personality. Choices are often given, in which players select a choice.
2. Each player is a host to a fragment of a daedra lord. As a result, they gain a bit of their personality and power. People who are given specific characters must entwine your own personality along with that of your daedra (confliciting or schizophrenics are allowed). Your daedra is not told at the start, but there should be enough hints to guess your maker.
3.As the story proceeds, several hosts may meet each other and their story joins,but before that, a player can communicate with another player only through out of character comments.
4. This story happens after the Dragonborn defeats Alduin, but before the civil war ends. The Daedric conflict is also happening.
5.Each player must keep track of his or her own level,gold and loot.
6. Items,spells and other things can come from any part of Tamriel.
7.No god playing,you can’t just kill a creature with a single hit. Also,Unlike most RPs,you can only control your character, and ONLY your character,you cant choose what NPCs do.
8.During the story, your character may experience “blackouts”. These are the times your daedra self controls you. During this time, you have little or no options to choose from
9. The story will begin in a day or so when I come back and check. If you wish to join,write your race and what you look like (do not include clothes, you all start with the same). When I come back, I will choose upon a first come first serve basis.I will cut-off if there are too many people or the number of people exceeded the number of aedric lords.
10.I may start a conversation with people who join. If so, do not tell other players what is in the PM unless asked to. Often, these PMs tell the player that their character will betray other hosts or recommend the player to do something to continue with the story. This is to avoid situations where a huge group of hosts join forces.
11.You can duel with other players should u meet them. Note that none of the duels are to the death. Luck and skill as well as your equipment help here.
12. Your character CAN die. If so, it looses one item and goes to Sovngarde. After a short meeting you return to tamriel.
13. During battle, Only fatigue replenishes. You are given a larger pool of magicka to compensate for this. Health,magicka and fatigue regenerate outside battle.
14. If you quit the RP, Your character will still remain, but as a character controlled by the storyteller.
15. Please be nice to other players, even if the character the person is playing is rather nasty.
History:
All was blackness before creation. Nothing. Around this nothingness were the gods in the empty plains; they had no names, but they knew they soon would. They had felt it, trembling, rising. The beginning of creation. It started with a seed; a seed formed of will itself, the gods had always wanted a world to rule over. The seed hatched, and the world began.
(Please skip the multi-coloured part if you want to get along with it. continue at the next pure green paragraph)
First came the Earth, rising in peaks, majestic with its sadness. Along with the land came Hircine. He was born to hunt the land, and the Daedric prince was named.
Then came the sun and the moon. They came and went, rotating, everlasting. With them Azura was named, and she controlled the magic in between the realms of twilight.
In all this confusion came madness, came Sheograth. He had no host, but knew he would find one, for insanity would always come.
The gods were afraid of each other, and from their fear true reason to fear was born; Boethiah,god of deceit.
And from deceit came worry, and with worry was the lust for power. And Clavius arrived, spreading false wishes.
To record the beginning, Mora was named. Memory would flow through the passage of time, and she would hold the knowledge.
Deduction and logic; the primal understanding of all life. Jyggalag was made to guide them and become whole.
The result of Boethiah and Clavius’ work named Malacath. Anguish,betrayal and broken promises swirl like ash within him, bitter.
The gods wanted something. They had their needs. And from it Mehrunes came, the twisted form of ambition, the need to conquer.
Emotions of the god flowed around, Mephala was named, to fight the feeling of boredom, the Spinner. Then the obscure one came, her meaning not shown. Meridia.
Domination came of conflict, and this was Molag Bal. The enslaver, the conquerer.
With it came Namira. Purest of the ancient darkness, friend to those who dwell repulsive in the dark.
Nocturnal, the shadow, the own who hides the cunning. She was named, to thrive away from the light.
With the world, pestilence was attatched . Peryite rose; little known but watching.
Though life was not yet born, temptation and humiliation was. Sanguine came, preparing to drag mortals into sin.
Vermina. She was named to prevent a happy life, for she was the god of torment, and nightmares were her instruments.
These gods, they were called as such when Tamriel was born. They created the Daedra and the first forms of life. All this was recorded.
But before the daedric princes waged war on each other, they did one final thing: They took a fragment of themselves, and placed it in a shell of energy, to grow and become. That was their strongest weapon, living beings with great power. Each daedric prince took their portion of the shell and hid it, away from prying eyes, til the day the war was ready. Centuries passed, but the biggest war of all had not begun.
Until today.
