Wanting to make an Imperial "Arcane Warrior" themed character from Dragon Age. Any Advice on what I should pick out as skills?

My favorite build at the moment is a Dunmer barbarian
His skills are two handed, heavy armor, smithing, and restoration
equipment
Ebony armor, gauntlets, boots and Otar dragon priest mask Beast Greatsword (ebony with fire enchant)
he has a whopping 105% fire resistance
He kills stormcloaks and imperials and citizens and bandits indescrimently This Guy is a beast.
i am thief/assassin. i invest in one-handed, sneak, light armor, smithing and archery. i'm still pretty low level, only lvl 32 cause my old profile got deleted. i fight of whiterun gaurds when i'm bored. i use nightingale armor with a rating of 165. and i use the blade's shield and sword but sometimes dull-wield the blade's swords.

Duel Casting Spell user.No weapons for this guy.

Most of the time im a healer but since i felt like i played to many healing types in rpgs decided to switch it up a bit.Played about 20 healer types in rpg games through multiple consoles/pc.Iv always liked playing that solo fighting/with pets type aswell.

Reason i chose this was because in earlyer rpgs (Everquest,Two Worlds,Everquest 2,Guild wars 1 and when it comes out Guild wars 2,and many others) Yes i realize that some of these are Pc Gaming rpgs,I only recently switched to xbox rpg playing.

Reason i chose Dunmer instead of altmer or bosmer is because of there natural affinity to fire resistance.Which my vampirism effect makes me weaker to.Another reason is because iv always been drawn to the elven race in rpgs.

Another Reason is seeing a bandit attack another bandit and kill him. Then raising that dead bandit to get revenge on the bandit who killed him is entertaining for me.

This build is weak during the begining stages of the game and unknown yet to me atleast if its stronger in later stages of the game, but i assume it would be since u get permanent pets.

Once you get some really powerful dual dead thralls.. it's orgasmic.

I'll be picking up Hamelyn tonight after fininshing the Dampened Spirits questline from the Thieves Guild. I currently run a four person party with Orchendor as one thrall, a Storm Atronach Thrall, and Illia as a follower.

Once I get Hamelyn, we'll be a party of four extremely powerful Mages just wreaking havoc!

Illia oftentimes fights with Undead Orchendor, so I have to keep an eye on him to re-animate him.

I thought about grabbing Brelyna from the College since she also conjures a Familiar, but I'll see how it goes for now.

I've played quite a few characters to around 20-30 deciding which style I enjoy best (although I usually just get tired of one style after a while and want to switch it up now and then).

I have a pure mage build - frost spec'd with ice form and frost breath shouts most used.
A dagger assassin type - dark elf with all sneak perks and some in one hand dual wield. might evolve eventually into a thief with pickpocket and alchemy..
An archer stealthy - kahjit
A nordic warrior - one hand and shield with heavy armor

And probably the one I'm going to stick with most - spellsword necromancer. -> Skyrim Perk Calculator - Plan the perks for your Skyrim character before spending them!
- Name: Phoenix
- Race: Dark elf
- Style: Conjures an ethereal blade in one hand and wields the force of a storm in the other. He paralyzes his foe with an electrical surge then gets in close to deliver the final blow. Once dispatched, he summons the unnatural power that binds the dead to the living to raise the enemy to become his servant and quickly defeats any other threats.
- Personality: In balance. He goes his own way without bowing to another person's code. His necromancy was a curse taught to him by his late master in Morrowind using it only in great need. Seeking his own path, he wanders the land of Tamriel discerning the balance between nature, the arcane, and the beckoning of life and death.

I went with an Orc warrior for my first character.

He is a bit of a brawler and loves a good drink anywhere he goes. I focused on a hit first ask questions later approach. Specializes in 2hd great swords, smithing and heavy armour. I find it really fun playing this way. So maybe ill build a stealthy Khajiit next and go and join the dark brotherhood!

The Shadow of Elsweyr
Orc Warlord (Orc Weaponmaster)

2 Handed tree - straight up, specialist in the 2-hand weapon you prefer (hammers for me)
1 Handed tree - straight up + dual wield + specialist in the 1-hand weapon you prefer (axes for me)
Archery tree - first 5, then eagle eye.
Heavy Armour - first 5 then right hand side
Smithing - heavy side
Alchemy + Enchating - first 5
Block - first 5 and right hand side (if you want but not essential)

No magic.

I'm just starting my second playthrough, and after starting out as a rouge and experiencing some combat I've decided to create my own subclass I'm calling the killer. By just starting out I mean level 30 or so, with 2 evenings of playtime in.

My first build was a two-hand orc warrior, because I never played an orc or two-handed in oblivion and wanted to give them a chance. He was a neutral/good hero that By level 40 was running headlong into every battle and escaping unscathed in nearly every instance. The last tough fight around that time was the master vampire involved in the Morthal questline. Maxed out smithing on the heavy side, all enchantment perks, all two-handed perks, and taking heavy armor just to spend the remaining points. Jewelry helped reduce damage from fire/frost dragon attacks and my daedric battleaxe had a base damage of about 150. I never even made any dragon plate armor, just finished the main quest with ebony. I had my wife Aela as a follower, because she looks fantastic in that backless leather outfit, and I had a quest-giver always by my side. Never went far in the dark brotherhood because he'd rather explore the countryside.

The killer's main stats are becoming pickpocket, light armor, and sneak. Secondary stats in alchemy just to max effectiveness and experimenter perks, one handed with initial damage increase perk only, smithing on the light armor side and the arcane smithing perk. I'm going about 10/60/30 leveling magicka, health and stamina respectively. The 10 magicka for possible future illusion uses like invisibility or mayhem, and the stamina for carrying and because I hate walking. No lockpick or speech because this character isn't doing it for them money; makes it difficult to buy training though, but the thieves guild is helping there.

My goal is to max sneak and backstab everyone with daggers using invisibility potions when needed, reverse pickpocket poisons on tougher characters, and rely on healing/buffing potions or those mayhem/anarchy spells when all else fails. This character is a wood-elf. The resistance to poison and disease is fitting for someone in his line of work. Alignment is truly evil. This guy is out for blood and doesn't care what color it is.

If anyone found this interesting, I'd appreciate a suggestion for marriage. Maybe a rich old woman to stay home and mind the store and feed the cats? As Khajit would say, this one travels alone.

The Spectre of Skyrim

An Evil-turned-good guy
Figured I should actually post the perks I use for my assassin build:
Edit: never mind, the calculator is broken. I put in 80 perks but it only says level 55 when you click on it.

You can find all the other details about him on the first page of this thread.

For the future: going to test a Paladin and a Necromancer.

Argonian is the thief class, utilize their natural restoration and alteration talents in your off hand, you will be epic. Alteration for armor buffs, restoration for regenerate health and stamina. Plus that histskin is extremely helpful.

make that build a pacifist and just have a dagger for finishing off opponents

I'm on my 66th build, doing a lot of the mundane ones currently; farmers, blacksmiths, bards, apothecaries, lumberjacks, millers, archaeologists, chefs, etc. but one of my favorite "mundane" builds is the miner/gemologist.

No magic, all points dumped into health and stamina (unless you want to be aided in the mines by a bit of Alteration)
Any race, any sex
Miners clothes, leather/Imperial bracers, some nice boots and a hat if you want
Any stone, I chose Tower since mine is a huge, John Henry type Redguard
One Handed pick axes and/or block while using a torch for both sight in mines and to light enemies ablaze, or dual wield with pickaxes
Mine, mine, mine.

My character in Skyrim is quite, you may say, a neglected one as about only 1 out of 10 Skyrim players will even consider being a Healer cuz they think it's really 'boring'. Well I for one LOVE healing and supporting others! (btw I AM a Doctor lol :) ) anyways I also think that the School of Restoration IS a valid school to learn no matter what anyone says whether it be a Skyrim NPC or real life human! Anyway, here's my build! (I know the skill tree in the build may be a bit too much but you can improvise I guess, oh and I don't really use Alteration as you can see! :) ) Skyrim Perk Calculator - Plan the perks for your Skyrim character before spending them!

Here's the items you need:

Archmage Robes (quite obviously for it's AMAZING magic effect)

Nahkrin (heavy armour I know but when it comes to Restoration spells and Destruction, this comes in handy!)

Ring of Major (or Minor) Restoration (well, the title says it all really...takes less magicka to cast...standard:) )

Savos Aren's Amulet (Increases your Magicka by 50 points, you need as much magicka as you can get!)

Well I don't particularly know what boots and gloves to actually wear (Both Thalmor atm they look kwl I guess) so give me some suggestions on what boots and gloves I should wear!

Well, hope you enjoy the build as much as I do!!! :)

I don;t know if the skill tree (again!!!) worked or not so here's what you need need:

Restoration: Just get all of the skills put there before you, you'll need them all!

Illusion: Same thing for this as Restoration! (unless you want alteration instead/as well!)

Destruction: Any from Frost, Fire and Lightning and Novice, Apprentice, Adept, Expert and Master

Conjuration: Summoner (both levels), Atromancy, Elemental Potency, Twins Souls, then just fill up the rest up to Master (except for Dark Souls and Necromancy, unless you want to be a 'Necrohealer' :) )

Enchanting: Enchanter (all levels), Insightful Enchanter, Corpus Enchanter, Extra Effect

Hope this (FINALLY) helps!!! :)

I have many many builds. I have also played and deleted many builds. But i do have a few favorites, concepts I will admit i have nabbed from other people, but with my own play style.

Breton Agent of Cyrodil
Race: Breton (for magic resistance)
Gender: Female (i like the idea of a female agent)
Class Concept: An Agent
- is hidden in plain sight. (No armor, only civilian clothes. Uses mage armor for protection.)
- doesn't carry weapons as this would be conspicuous, also it's possible an agent could get captured at any time and they must be able to function unarmed. (Uses bound weapons instead)
- skilled in both ranged and close combat. (archery and one handed)
Skills: Archery, One Handed, Conjuration (bound weapons), Restoration (healing), Alteration (mage armor), Enchanting (to enchant civilian clothes, i.e, magic resistance/restoration, etc.)

A good concept for joining the Imperial side, (if you enjoy roleplaying as much as I do.)

Sorry again! I've just realized it's not Enchanting you want its all of the skills in Alchemy! Of course Healers make potions! That's what originally did to heal people! Ok, sorry for all the posts! Enjoy! :)

I have made a few builds but i prefer being a sneaky type player so i have toyed with them quite a bit and this is my favorite build so far.
Arcane Assassin
Race: Wood Elf
Gender: Female
Class Concept: A stealth class who dabbles in magic
Skills: Stealth (obviously), One Handed, Archery, Conjuration, Destruction, Light Armor, and Alchemy. Smithing is optional. The reason this class doesn't just use bound weapons is because bound weapons do get the bonuses from their respective weapon tree. A bound sword does more damage with a high one handed skill as does archery. If you have the perks that give more damage to bound weapons it further increases the effectiveness. Light armor is just because if i ever do get discovered i can hold my own. Alchemy is just for poisons. Depending on how you play the class you can one hit dragons and I've done it

Volanere

Grand Magister
Ive tryed all of the classes and almost all the races, i use.
High elf
destruction, conjuration, and one handed
i use heavy armor but mostly stick with the thalmor robes since i roleplay a thalmor

Wanting to make an Imperial "Arcane Warrior" themed character from Dragon Age. Any Advice on what I should pick out as skills?
I don't know DA, but I do know TES. That would be a Spellsword, or Battlemage, depending on the particulars of the build. The former is a combo of Spell, and Sword, obviously, usually Light Armored, Destruction and Restoration. The sword could be an Axe, or maxe, of course, but you'll want to stick to 1 handed, so that they're both always ready. Firebolt as they close on you, then finish with the sword, use the Restoration school to heal yourself. Dunmer are natural Spellswords, and Redguards also make very good ones.

The Fade Shroud power is basically the Become Ethereal Shout.

Battlemage is not unlike in DA, you'll want Heavy Armor, Destruction/Conjuration, Alteration, and 1, or 2 handed. I wear Robes, with Heavy Armor Gauntlets, Boots, and usually a Dragon Priest Mask (Vokun is my favorite, or Otar, Nahkriin Rahgot...) Where a Spellsword is fast, and versatile, the Battlemage is overpowering. They're more likely to switch out at range, and up close, I like to add Block for a Shield, or to stagger with a Battleaxe. (The Bound one is glitched, so the next best is the Drainblood.) So, their Fighting Style is lead with Ebonyflesh to reinforce their armor, Conjure a Dremora Lord for support, then charge in to the fray swinging before the durations run out. Argonians, and Orcs make good Battlemages because of their daily powers, as do Bretons, and Altmer because of their Magical proficiency, but they have to train up the weapon skills. Imperials are probably as close to a Natural for it in the lore.

There's other possible Magic/fighter hybrids, since there's no longer Classes. The Witchunter uses Archery, Alchemy, Destruction, Conjuration, (I'd go for Restoration, since there is no Mysticism) Alchemp, Lockpicking, and something like Speech. I'd go for Light Armor, if any, and Sneak would be a good idea. Nightblades use Illusion to enhance their Assasination abilities, so sneak, archery, LA and 1H (With other optional skills.)

Jzizzle

Now that's a Knife!
I built an Assassin which maxed stealth and illusion. This build is so overpowered its not funny. Add in shrouded gloves for double back stab damage and it is crazy. You are silent, invisible and do a devastating amount of damage with a dagger. Then when you get bored, just cast mayhem on your enemy groups and take out whoever is last standing.
