I'm the thane of white run. So is that why the carrier won't give me the paper for it? Or how do I adopt a kid
Oh thanks you have been a big help
I did marry really early on (but as I said, her nagging made me kill her) and you're right, early on (I think it was 250 for me) the cash flow was nice.Marriage is worth it early game as an income stream if nothing else. 100 gold per day iirc. Also your spouse is a shop which helps a bit with the offloading of stuff. Then there is the lovers comfort which is a 15% increase in skill improvement for 8 hours after sleeping with the spouse as opposed to the usual 10% for using your own bed.
So yeah worth doing.
On the other hand the adopted kids are a pain in the ass IMO. I eventually dumped mine in a house I never visit.
Hmmm... there's a thought. I have a good dozen places where I mine gold & silver (and even more for iron and other misc ores). Maybe I could put kids to work.Marriage is awesome. Especially since most of the men in Skyrim are my type!
I've only been adopting with one of my characters for a few days so far, and the kids are pretty annoying. But they do manage to scrounge up some useful items, like ore and rare ingredients.

I don't know. I guess you may be able to, but I think you need to own the bed and be "lovers". You wouldn't get her monthly income though. That was a big help at the begginning. Can you get that bonus with a follower who is also your wife like Mjoll (she can be both). You can explore Skyrim together, have sexy time with Mjoll in a rented bed and get the lover's comfort bonus.
If the bedrooms are furnished you should be able to move them in by talking to the mrs.Ok well I have the windstad manor I think it's called it's in morthal yea uh I want my kid lucie an Lydia ( wife) to move in
Skyrim guy: Why on earth did you marry that B****. She gets on my nerves, "I will bear your burdens"... yeah right ya snarky ************* (so & so). Can't wait to sacrifice you to Bothia! (she's probably one of those non killable ones though). If the bedrooms are furnished you should be able to move them in by talking to the mrs.
