I definitely prefer power-leveling until I get a character's core theme fleshed out. I really don't enjoy playing a Stealth character early on without power-leveling Stealth. I've gone more overboard with my current character but just because I've never been level 81 before. Besides, challenge...
I know that was long and not saying that's the only way to do it but I'm pretty excited to reach my highest level so far and to have such a fun, versatile character, so I just wanted to share :)
Pacify is the best spell in the whole game! I love Illusion! :)
My assassin is level 63 right now, still so much fun!
I power-leveled through the early levels:
1) Got Faendal as a follower, trained Archery (to 50), traded my money back, saved all perks.
2) Pickpocketed Amren in Whiterun...
Thanks everyone. I'm giving it a try! The only thing I don't like so far is a giant killed a cow and my chickens and there doesn't seem to be a way to get more! I just hope they don't kill my wife or steward!

It depends on whether it's a fair fight or not ;)
Farkas would win a fair fight but the question is if he would ever see it coming, he's not too bright! Hehe.
And I should've said Azura's Star is actually The Black Star and clarified that my armor is Legendary Dragon armor. I'm close to the armor cap (need 1 more Agile Defender perk I guess).
My character is named Dream. She's a Breton Illusionist + Assassin. Here's my build: http://skyrimcalculator.com/265257
I power leveled, going to Riverwood, getting Faendal as a follower and buying training and trading my money back. Then I pickpocketed trainers all over Skyrim until...
1. Breton - (Game Mechanics) Because it's easy to hit 85% magic resist and you don't have to use armor enchants to do it.
2. High Elf - (Game Mechanics) The Magicka boost helps a lot in the early game and translates into more points you can spend on health for the late game. Their passive is...
So I chronically restart just like a lot of people do hehe. I thought I had found a character so fun I'd stick with it all the way through - my Breton Conjuration / Archer named Ariadne. But I found something even more fun. Really it's hilarious and awesome and so versatile.
Sneak: Stealth x...
