I've been wondering this, too. Lu'ah Al-Skaven killed me in a split second when her frost spell just brushed my side as she was attacking my dremora summons. It got so frustrating I had to set to Novice and just get'er dun so I didn't wind up breaking my PC into thousands of pieces. Same thing...- DonMuerte

DLC rumors
Maybe they all used to be more interesting, but then they took an arrow to the knee. I can't think of any games that put too much emphasis on NPCs. Obviously there's Alduin, Tullius, and Ulfric, but the point of an RPG is that you, the player, is the star of the story.- DonMuerte
