Ted Nugent vowed that he would be dead or in prison by April 2013 if Obama was re-elected, the implication being that he would go down in a "blaze of glory". And what a glorious thing that would be!

Personally I hate the scumbag. First of all, he's against animal rights. Second, this "flag-waving, all-american patriot" LITERALLY plops his pants to avoid the draft in Vietnam. That's right GOP! Yet another one of your heroes, much like John Wayne and G.W. Bush, dodged the draft in order to save his butt while proclaiming his "oh so superior" love of country and freedom!

So I didn't really understand what his deal was before just a moment ago. I wouldn't hold the draft dodging against him if he wasn't such a hypocritical bastard about it.

Here was some tweets he made after Obama was elected president:

In July 2008, Nugent declared "I was serious when I threatened to run for office in the past if I cannot find a candidate who respects the U.S. Constitution and our sacred Bill of Rights."[50] When asked by Imagineer magazine in a 2010 interview about what he would do if elected to political office, he responded: "Slash the living hell out of the waste and corruption and the outrageous army of do-nothing bureaucrats. I would fire every government worker whose job I would deem to be redundant and wasteful. No able-bodied human being would ever get a handout again."

Some would say being a rock musician and making millions off very little actual work is a bit of a handout.

Lmao, I love this guy (not really his music sucks), but he probably should follow through on his promises.

I would say he feels an enormous amount of guilt and shame over Vietnam and it's twisted his mind into an illogical pretzel of self serving delusion.

In other words, he's a f***fing nut job.

Didn't Woody Allen do basically the same thing? And I seem to recall several prominent actors who said they would leave the country if Bush was re-elected to a second term, yet they still live in California...

Ted Nugent is a prime example of what happens when rock stars DON"T do drugs.

That's okay. I did enough in the 70's for both of us. ;)

BTW, didn't Rush Limbaugh and some others say that they would leave the country if Obama was elected?

I think Rush Limbaugh said he was gonna leave the country if Obamacare was ever enacted. Sadly he's still here though! :sadface:

He would probably just go back to the Dominican Republic, with his bottle of Viagra, so he could have more sex with underage prostitutes.
