Fallout 4 won't be coming out for the PS Vita. Sony has pretty much written off the handheld as a failure, and most game creators have followed suit except for indie developers and a few Japanese studios. Fallout 4 developer Bethesda hasn't completely forgotten about the thing, though. While you won't be able to play a dedicated copy of Fallout 4 from the Vita, you will be able to play it there if you remotely stream it from a Playstation 4.

You might wonder what the point is -- your big TV is right there and you still can't take Fallout 4 on the bus. Well.....there isn't one, but it's still nice they thought of the Vita even marginally. You might also wonder why something as simple as streaming footage onto a smaller screen can't be done with every game...after all, the Wii U does it all the time, right?

Thing is, the Vita has fewer buttons than the Playstation 4. In order for a game to be compatible with Vita Remote Play, it has to be designed with that in mind from the get-go. All essential actions have to be on a smaller number of buttons, and the ones that will be missed less have to be adjusted to be activated with the touchpad.

In this case, Fallout 4's PS Vita functions were designed by Josh Hamrick, former Bungie employee. He's the one who designed Destiny to stream on the PS Vita, and now he's done the same here. Thanks to him, you'll have an option you...probably won't use unless a parent or spouse is hogging the TV, but it'll be an option.
