so two days ago i read some posts and a video of people talking about the banish enchantment and saying its the best n stuff..

and yesterday i found an ebony sword of banishing (found at lvl 36/37.. thats why its ebony)
and i don't understand whats so great about it.. all it does is sending daedrea back to oblivion..
and i barely find daedreas + they arent hard to defeat..
and how does it actualy work ? that banishing thing.. ?

can someone please give me an explanation of this ? thanks :)

edit: Weaker summoned daedra are sent back to Oblivion**

I believe it its for summons, which i find worthless anyway for what ever it sends back it causes less exp gain, opposed to just kicking the crap out of it with what ever weapon you prefer to use, each hit counts to level that specific skill which levels your over all level. Why would you want to do that anyway. If you have real trouble against a necromancer/conjuration npc just kill the npc first and it's summon dies with it. Weak robe mages anyway... :p Just don't get hit by ice warriors. Those of you with shields and the perk to block element damage when blocking (what ever it is) will have minuscule trouble anyways.

I think best enchantments are absorb Hp, Stamina, Magicka, Soul TraP, Elemental Damage, and Skill enchantments. Boosting Stat enchantments are nice early game, but the real trick with exploits are the skill enchantments. Along with a weapon that has double enchantment to absorb hp and stamina your doin it like a boss!

I agree with everything you've said, and thats the reason i dont get why do people think its the "Best enchantment"

I think absorb hp is the best :p it makes you almost invincible.

but how does the banish actualy work ? its like i hit a daedra and he instantly dies ? or what o_O

I think you are misunderstanding. People are talking about when enchanting items to sell them while raising their enchanting skills. The effects that are best to put on an item for the value is Banish, as it increases the value the most out of all the effects you can add to an enchanted item, not because it does the best damage.

For best single enchantment on an item the fiery souls trap is IMO the best effect to add to a weapon. That with the dual enchantment allows 3 effects on an item.

I get to the Cloud District...VERY often.
Just in case it wasn't clarified, yes, the banishment enchantment sends daedra back to Oblivion instantly, and turns undead, I believe.

The reason I look for it is simply to make lots of money quickly.

A really fast way to get a lot of money is to find Banish on a weapon, take it to the Enchanting Table disenchant it & then enchant lots of weapons with it. The last time I found Banish on a weapon was on " The Axe of Whiterun ".....

As for the best enchantment well that depends on the player. I have Dual enchantments, Soul Trap & Fire Damage on my Sword & Bow.

Absorb Health is an epic enchant but Paralyze is the best IMO.

Ah paralyze i forgot about that! Ha stupid of me, yes with some element damage, and a side weapon of soul trap and element damage. Really could use anything i suppose but i have to say paralyze is the best especially when used on a deadric weapon and Azura's star for a gem. I would add fire, or absorb hp. With a off hand weapon of soul trap so i can always be ready to fill them both when needed.
