Why did my stamina stat bar drop?

So I went to put a perk into archery and my stamina perk went down and is now in red numbers?????

Are you sure you wern't hit by a frost spell at that exact moment?

Frost spells cause your stamina to go down when you are hit by one.

Shock spells do the same thing to Magicka

Fire spells cause additional damage to health

check your active effects in the magic menu. probably have contracted some disease. i got "The Rattles" once from some dirty skeevers that damaged my stamina. just go to any shrine to "pray" and it will remove the sickness.

or you can use a "cure disease" potion, or wear one of the dragon priests masks which makes you immune to all diseases
