What will you do on International Apocalypse Day (Dec.21, 2012)?

So if something does turn up, what do you think you'll be doing? How about after something actually happens on this day?


(For the sake of the thread's discussion, any attempts to disregard Dec.21 as Mayan Apocalypse or otherwise should be handled as unwanted trolling.)

I personally don't believe the world's gonna end, but if it turns out it does...well...depends on the apocalypse.

1. Looming natural disaster: cower in fear with my family.
2. Zombie apocalypse: grab a cricket bat and board up the doors and windows.
3. The planet X crashes into the Earth and the lizard people begin to invade: join the lizard people.

A zombie apocalypse would be good but I would want a shotgun not running round with a tyre iron and metal baseball bat.

Well, what I'm ACTUALLY gonna do, is laugh at everyone who starts to panic as they think the world is ending, now for the sake of this thread, I'll say I believe it's gonna happen.

Now in a ''Normal?'' apocalypse I will;
Get in contact with as many family members as I can
Do everything I wish I should have done when I had time
Live my life to the fullest (For the 24 hours)
Stay with my direct family, and relax, have a good time.

My coworkers and I have discussed this...we're all calling into work (cause hey, it's not gonna be there the next day) getting all fancy dressed up and going to the casino. We'll get rip roaring drunk, lose all our money at the blackjack tables, and pass out in the lounge. We'll wake up broke and with no job, cause the world's not gonna end and my boss is gonna be pissed that the entire staff decided to blow off work.

I just happen to have taken the day off work and will be spending the day with my lady. Not that I actually think that anything will happen, but if the 21st is my last day on this earth as I know it, might be nice to spend it with her. Also, I plead the fifth as far as "end of the world crazy sex" speculation goes.

One other thing: Electricity better not go out on the 21st. I'm not spending my last day around a makeshift fire, freezing my b---s off, wondering what time Grim shows up. No, I plan to go out with irony - warm and comfy in my apartment - watching an apocalypse movie about the world ending while making fun of doomsayers. And just moments before the end comes... give it the middle finger with a smile on my face.

Oh, and I plan to sell 'I survived Doomsday' t-shirts too. Buy 'em while they last!
