What is this green arrow symbol with my weapon?

I was just looking through my various weaponry and noticed a symbol in the upper left corner of the description of the item within my inventory. It wasn't there before so I'm wondering if anyone knows what it represents? From what I can recall it was in the basic shape of an arrow but very stylistic.

Are you referring to an upward pointing arrow? Or something else? To my knowledge, the only symbols used in the inventory page is the upward point triangle (which indicates that a weapon/armor has better specs than what you currently have equipped), or the sideways pointing arrow (which indicates the items you have equipped). What other identifiers are on the screen when you see this? Is there a green + number next to your stats at the bottom of the screen?

What you're describing sounds like various controls available with the system. What I'm actually seeing could be better described as a drawing. Let's see how I could better describe this...

Do you know how each weapon has a summary of itself within a retangle box on your screen when you are select it within your inventory? It basically says its name, followed by his power or defence rating and further folled by any enchantments you have on it? It also shows you the actual item and allows you to rotate it to look at it from all sides. Now, thinking about that rectangular box that I've just described, you'd find this symbol within that box in the upper left corner.

The stylistic arrow symbol is drawn in black 'ink' and has a green bacground around/behind most of it and this is piece of gear is the only item I have in my inventory with that symbol on it.

I'm trying hard to recall just what piece of gear that is and I almost want to say it is one of the dragon priest masks that I just got last night when beating one of them right after taking out an elder dragon.

In hindsight, if it is the dragon priest mask, the title of my thread doesn't make sense anymore since I said "weapon" in it so I apologize. I'm trying to think through the 7 hours I played yesteday. It all seems so fuzzy.

if it's what I think it is, that's the indicator that your weapon is poisoned. hit someone with it and see if it goes away.

Ahhhh, that'd make sense since I was adding poison to them when fighting the dragon and priest. Thanks.

It's a number that shows the difference in damage between the weapon you have equipped and the weapon yo're looking at. If the weapon you have in your hand is weaker it will be a red negative number, and if it's stronger it will show a green positive number. It's a buggy though, and therefore not always accurate so I don't even rely on it.

Thank you but that's not it actually. This is a symbol in the upper left corner (all the way at the top and all the way to the left of the info box) of the info box. There is nothing to the left of the symbol or above the symbol except for the walls of the info box that contains all the info on the gear.

The red/green numbers you are referring to are outside of this box and at the very bottom of the screen. Thank you for trying to help though. :)

Yeah, that's the indicator for a weapon being poisoned.
I believe if you hover over it, the word poison will appear.

Yes, very good to know. On a PS3 I don't have a way to hover over it though :p . (but thank you)
