I just wanted to know what the point of summoning an atronach at the atronach forge in winterhold? I mean I wouldn't ask if it wasn't hostile.but the point is when you summon it, it's a hostile unbound frost/shock/flame atronach.i don't see the point...

I have to say I agree with you. It can't be for the elemental salts, because it requires some salts to summon in the first place. I suppose it could be used for skill leveling, but that seems unlikely.

I just see it as a trial and error kind of thing. There really is no point, other than to suggest to the player that if an atronach can be summoned, the forge can also be used to fashion a staff for summoning atronachs that will be bound to the player.

guess there's no point really, other than wanting to fight one. maybe test follower or thrall abilities on an atronach. that's about it.

thankfully the forge has other uses.
