trouble with inventory display

My inventory displays with items starting about halfway down the screen. Then the list extends off the bottom of the screen. How do I scroll down to see items in inventory that are not shown?

Thanks in advance for any help. (I am new. I reinstalled the game in case that was the problem, but I have the same trouble.)
