Appearance:
Dro'Sakhar is a certain kind of Khajiit. Despite the general nomadic nature of most of it's inhabitants, Elswyer has certain 'looks' in certain regions of the Kajiiti homeland. Dro'Sakhar is from the innermost, southern jungles, deep within the lush canopies and dangerous wildlife his people have flourished; an 'off-shoot' of main Khajiit society they worship their own versions of Gods and Goddesses, have their own hierarchy and own system of life. Incredibly secretive, even to their fellow Khajiit, they are skilled in the arts of hunting and gathering, and art.
Now, as with most Khajiit men, Dro'Sakhar was a hunter and provided for his tribe, as such, his muscles are toned to near perfection and he possesses great atheletic strength. His pelt is naturally course, but he takes great care of it with special remedies from the secretions of the animals he used to hunt. His hide, like a lot of his tribe, is that reminiscent of the jaguar with a mixture of dark dappling on a lighter, honeyed base.
Dro'Sakhar, as with most of his kin, is known for piercing feline eyes, light green in colour and extremely alert at all times it seems. A life of the hunt has conditioned him as such, to always look aware, even if he isn't. It is said that he even sleeps with his eyes open...
With his rows of thick, sharp teeth and large retractable claws, he does indeed strike a fierce picture even without weaponry, and with a tall frame of 6'5" and paws the size of plates - he can certainly back up the natural weapons with conditioned bulk.
Usually he wears little tribal bands of leather and blue stones/feathers around his arms and legs - and on his body he wears but a mere loincloth to cover his manhood. A small strip of leather acts as a 'holster' for his weaponry, which many have tried to upgrade yet he remains attached to his stone dagger or spear. He may not be very good with a bow - his is sufficient - but his tribe specialised in poison darts and throwing weapons.
History:
Dro'Sakhar grew up in a rather 'primitive' enviroment as most 'civilised' races would comment. He was born in the deep jungles, raised there, become a 'man' there and later left that place for no purpose other than a harmless ambassadorial venture to one of the greater Khajiiti rendezvous. But, he was contented in being a tribesman, he couldn't miss what he didn't even know existed...
But, his family wasn't large by Khajiit standards, he had a younger sister and that was about it, and whereas his sister spent more time with their mother, he was often off with his father, learning the skills necessary to survive in the wild jungles and provide for the family and, in extension, the tribe. His first kill was a strange bird that were abundant in the trees that surrounded them - with it's bright, large bill and it's azure feathers it made not only for good remedies and salves, but also made a great trophy to commemorate the event - the hard, strong and serrated bill making for a good dagger blade. He stills keeps it to this day, but does not use it as he has outgrown the small, childs weapon.
As he grew older, marriage became increasingly important, and every dawn in loomed closer and closer on the horizon. In fact, he was due to be married when he came back from the rendezvous...
Of course, that never happened...
He was sent as an ambassador to a Khajiit rendezvous, along with a few other hunters and a shaman and he had never felt more out-of-place in his entire life. Of course, the trees were still there, but they were different, the ground was different, the animals were different - and the Khajiit present when they arrived looked like Khajiit, but they sounded strange, and their pelts were an abundance of colours and some didn't even have any markings upon their pelts!
Instead of turning Dro'Sakhar into a recluse however, wanting to be back in his heartland, he was intrigued; enthralled by the premise of their being other beings out there, a world larger than he could have ever have imagined, full of strange, wonderful and dangerous things he didn't even think of existing.
And he wanted to see, wanted to see it all.
So, as their rendezvous was held on the coast, he slipped away towards the 'Bright Light' of th distant, and arrived in a port town where he was even more baffled by what he saw. Odd, hairless creatures who stood so tall, with pointed ears at the side of their heads, or no pointed ears at all - all different shades of skin, no tails, no claws or fangs unless he came across a scaled one that resembled the lizards that used to swarm the huts in the high summer...but upright; walking and talking like him...
Actually, he wasn't too good at talking, and many probably thought him some kind of fool.
That didn't stop him from boarding a ship however, walking into one of the most populated wooden shacks in the place for advice, and then coming out with alcohol and having signed on as part of a crew...
The port town, had been a pirate town...
And the rest, is history - he's the exotic sailor, the mysterious one onboard almost every vessel he has sailed with yet to him, there is nothing mysterious - the others are the odd ones...
Personality:
Dro'Sakhar is a playful sort of man and he is rare to take anything with total seriousness - always having to have the mood a little lighter with a smile, a nice word or a hug. There are very few things in life to be serious and stern about, one of the main creeds of his tribe was that life should be celebrated just for being what it is - it is a gift from the Mother and should be cherished as such; not wasted with such sourness and severity, as he has discovered, some other races and peoples do. But when total seriousness is needed, he will be, because he has never been in a position of 'alpha-male' and he has never felt the need to try and succede anyone of the sort, so he is quite compliant and an 'easy-come, easy-go' kind of guy; quite relaxed and chilled out unless he is on a hunt - that is one of the times, he knows he cannot afford to be careless and relaxed, and is quite 'professional' almost, in how he carries out a hunt.
Saying that though, despite his happy-go-lucky, easy-going nature, he is rather quiet. He is not yet, even nearly sufficient in the common tongue of mer and men and so he prefers to listen - which means he hears more than most and makes him a good friend to talk to, and a good person to go to for information. He wouldn't betray anyone knowingley, as the loyalty he feels towards friends and family is one of his deepest emotions, but he isn't the best at social graces and if someone is silver-tongued and persuasive, they could probably get anything they wanted from him.
He may seem barbaric, what, with his blood-drinking and he usage of corpses as he harvests things from them for later use, but that is how he was raised. You wouldn't just take the meat or the hide from a carcass, you would utilise everything - waste not want not - and if you needed a new water sack, then of course you would take the bladder from whatever it is your kill was. He does not so much 'mutilate' but 'utilise' and sometimes it is a different situation altogether if the deceased is humanoid - then it is just left, if it has been found like that, or, if he has killed said humanoid, then he will take the scalp as a trophy - it is merely belief, not 'savagery' or 'cruelty' that drives his actions...
Dro'Sakhar found a love of the drink of men and mer also when he began his travels and even though it is not quite the pyscadellic he is used to from home, it gives a delightful fuzzy feeling and seems to bring people together, so anything that can be shared socially and brings 'the goodness' then he's all game. He believes it brings the 'true marking' from a person.
Personally, he just gets kinda sleepy after having quite a few, not violent or mental; sleepy and contented. The Cat has found his milk, so some have said.
Dro'Sakhar, despite being a 'pirate' prefers his time docked, than on the seas - the constant rocking and the staying in one place isn't something he is keen on, but he keeps himself going by the promise of new exotic lands, new food, new people, new flora and fauna...he's all about discovering and finding everything that he possibly can.
