On my PS3 you can press (Square) to store stuff. i stored all my money and i dont know where it went. i just started and dont own a house yet so i was wondering how to retrieve it

Back track a bit. Honestly I wouldn't worry about it. Money is not hard to acquire in the game. Write it off as a loss and move on.

Items stored in chests you don't own may not be there when you return. Simple.

Good call... I was upwards of 250K in gold at one point. Money is too easy to come by in my opinion. I set restrictions on myself to keep it more realistic and more fun to earn my pay.
