Prisoner glitch

I was doing the main imperial questline after getting bored with my old character, On the quest where you infiltrate fort kastrav (I think) I had freed a prisoner, Pickpocketed a prisoner to give him the fur armor I had (I didn't want it anymore) Got caught, he became a fully armored legionairre and attacked me (Obviously attacked I tried pickpocketing him) Was just wondering if anybody else has experienced this
