PC Need some help on saving a game/character.

I am running out of quests and new things to do. I want to save my existing personna and game so that I might create a new character. How do I save the game I am playing now? I don't mean 'in game'
save, I mean save the whole package so that I might re-install Skyrim and start over.
I know, dumb, I can wear it but HELP.

I don't know if there are possible variations, but for me saved games are found in My Documents > My Games > Skyrim > Saves. I would copy at least 3 of the most recent of them and past them into a separate folder elsewhere. (I use my My Documents > Skyrim Backup Saves > character name, so I can keep them all separate.) Then you can start fresh and, if you decide to go back, either save or delete the current character and saves, move the old saves back, and you should pick up where you left off.
