I am the Listener..of your screams.
So, I've seen lots of hype about the DLC Dawngaurd, and there is a rumour in wide circulation that its going to have a link to the Snow Elves and possibly the Dwemer.

Now, lots of people I've seen have been really excited about this, lots of buzz about meeting the legendary Dwemer. Me? No thank you very much. I accept that the Dwemer are part of Skyrim lore, but I dislike playing parts to do with them. I truly detest having to forage about in Dwemer ruins - especially SPOILER - having to go down into that Mzulft place to find the Elder Scroll. I truly don't know why, but those places creep the hell out of me. As far as I'm concerned, the lost race of Mer can either stay lost or come right above ground.

What're your thoughts on the Dwemer rumour? Me - I'm hoping for a more Knights of the Nine style adventure. Perhaps the Dawngaurd are elitist Knights?

I agree. I can't exactly put my finger on why, but somehow dwemer stuff just doesn't fit in with how I, at least, imagine my character's world. I really don't like steampunk anything. And the falmer are just disgusting. I skip everything falmer I can and if I absolutely must finish one of their caves for a major questline or something, I stick it on novice and blow through it as quick as possible. (To make it fair I don't loot or keep ANYTHING when I do this.) These are just not . . . enjoyable aspects of the game for me.

I like the Dwemer ruins. They're kind of creepy in places but the long lost ancient technology is kind of cool. Just imagine what they might have done if they hadn't disappeared.
Can you imagine an army of those rolling robot balls (can't think of thier name)? How about squads of Centurions roaming the lands! If they lived.... skyrim and Tamriel would be a WHOLE different world if you ask me. :D

I do wish that the Dwemer were a different race, and not an off shoot of Mer... a Dwarven race, of underground dwellers would've been cool.

The Falmer Returning - well, there are two hints in the game(s) that they might return some how. I have several ideas on that... but I'm keeping them secret as I don't want to spoil anything... for a number of reasons :D muahahahaha They are currently nasty ugly critters though...

As for the DLC.... I think the Falmer return would be cool, but I'd love to see some of the previous DLC's get follow ups... like Knights of the Nine... what has that Order been doing in the last 200 years???

Morgan, I can see how you'd associate it with steampunk, but it's not really... it's just steam powered... and even then it's not really that... as the robot spiders and soldiers don't use steam... only the centurions do sort of...

Yeah, that's why I stopped short of calling it steampunk. But it definitely recalls this genre!

Yeah... I admit I kind of thought that too when I saw it... but then again, I like steampunk... well some aspects of it anyway.

Hmm. I've nothing against the Falmer (though I wouldn't vote for a DLC based around them. I think they're an interesting enough bit o' Skyrim. Although on my Unarmed Khajiit I fell into Sightless Pit at level 8 and had a rough time of it

Must be my Nord blood......
I kinda wish that there were a few Ayleid ruins in Skyrim. Yet another race to speculate about in DLC.....

I love killing the Falmer...they do appear to me to be disgusting creatures and it's my mission to rid Skyrim of as many of them as I'm capable of dispatching.

As far as dwemer ruins go...they are creepy and very different. I remember finding the dwemer ruin in morrowind...the one with the puzzle box...I went there early on and it was a scary trip....so they don't seem as out of place to me...because of the history in Morrowind.

I just hope someday the mystery to their disappearance is solved....kinda like JFK...I want to know the truth...lol
