maximum damage resistance (real calculation)

I read that armor effectiveness ends with 600 or so, can somebody confirm or tell me the calculation thats done there. i thought at first its 850 since 85% is the maximum for (magicka/elemental resistance). I know that you can do stuff over 1000 or so but I think it has no effect anymore. Please only post if you know stuff. Thanks

The damage resistance is capped at 80% so working off of that...

Dmg = n/2[Damage +Resistance]

when Dmg >1000

n/2[8 + 5n+3] >1000

n[5n + 11] > 2000

5n^2 + 11n - 2000 > 0

So

n/2[8 + 5n+3] >1000
n[5n + 11] > 2000 = "Sweet Roll" + "Trolololo".

I don't feel like looking up the number, but it' somewhere around 575 or 576 (someone verify)

and that equals what I thought was the cap at 85%, just like the old games.

Going purely from memory here, correct me If I'm wrong.

Also, confirmed that max armor rating is 567. You can get it higher, but its a waste of time. The link should give you your answer.
