Do you think the family is overreacting to this? Without a doubt, this is 100% Gamestop's fault. But, some are arguing that making it a big deal is only going to etch it more into the child's brain.

Thoughts? Opinions?

You can erase them from his memory by not making a big deal out of it. He's FIVE! When I was little, my family would watch Austin Powers movies in front of me and I once walked in on my mom and dad... you know. Granted I remember it, but I'm not scarred for life, since they went on and treated it like it was no biggie, you didn't do anything wrong, wanna cuddle up and watch Winnie the Pooh with me? Come on, people.

That is what I am thinking! The kid was obviously fed these lines from either his parents or the reporters. Over exaggeration of the media as always.

I understand that feeling, my cousin came into town a few days ago and her child (7) has an IPad she got for Christmas... And she wants an Iphone. It is ridiculous.

A parent buys a preowned device with internal storage and doesn't inspect it themselves? Stupid family, they're lucky they weren't dealing with anyone I know that has ever worked at a Gamestop.

I totally agree. While the family is reasonable to expect that it would be clean, it would have taken 5 minutes to open it up and check it out right quick. Delete what they found off of it, maybe call up the Gamestop all like "hey guys, I found this on this 3DS and that's really not cool yo" and go on your merry little way.

And then they go on the news saying "there's no way to make this right." You know what that says? "LOOK AT MEEEEEEEE!! LOOK AT MEEEEEEEEE!!" while masquerading it under a "we just wanna let everyone know to be on the lookout"...like they didn't do.

Side note, I'm mildly amused at the "Users found this page by searching for" field...skyrim porn? People actually google Skyrim porn?

Not to mention, the very reason this plops will be marred into the kid's memories for all his life, like others have said, is a family just had to make a big deal.
