My one character is at an acceptable level now to start building a decent set of gear. Lets say he is a warrior/bowman/mage type. (yeah I know, generalist...) So my question is what type of enchantments should I build for him. Yes, I have maxed Enchant and BS, as well as alchemy. Givens are enough ores to make pieces and ingredients for pots. Any suggestions?
Thanks

since its so rough, if you are building a warrior id advise getting some resistance to magic enchantments. The best heavy armour is technically daedric but once you upgrade it to legendary via smithing, you can really use any armour above iron as they all hit the damage reduction cap. Magic resistance is important as mages always can kill you easily, even me at lvl 54. Also one handed/ two handed enchantments are good along with your preffered damage enchantments for your melee weapon. Paralysis chance is always a fun one along with frost damage (assuming double enchantments). For making this armour either make plus 25 percent smithing gauntlets, amulet, ring and main body armour or hunt around for them in stores. Along with a 50 percent bonus smithing potion, you will be able to craft the best stat armour for your chosen set! Hope this helps :) and if ive forgetten anything, just ask!

That is a very generalized character....If I were you, my armor enchantments would have my body armor being enchanted with something like health boost or stamina boost, gauntlets enchanted with either one or two hand boost, boots enchanted with one or two hand boost, and helmet enchanted with archery. As far as the magic, I would enchant a ring and an amulet with magic boosts. Other than the magic part, this is the set up I used for my Warrior/Archer Imperial, and it worked out awesomely.

Light armor might be the way to go for you. You can hit the cap pretty easy with almost any light armor combined with smith/enchant/alchemy and the level 60? light armor perk is fantastic for stamina regen. Aside from that modi is pretty spot on with enchants and don't forget the best part of 100 enchanting...two very powerful enchants per piece.

In what respect are you partially a mage? If you only mean for support spells like healing and you primarily rely on the bow for ranged combat and a one-handed weapon for close combat you can take a look at my gear album.

Depending on your armor type and what you use most of the time offensively, use the double enchanting perk and fortify for armor and weapon type. I usually do a magicka regen buff or two for spells too and sneak on the boots. Some people like to use elemental magic resistance but I play a breton

I love stamina regen. But he's a sneaky archer. Loooonnnggg slo-mo for the bow. If they get too close, stun lock with continuous bow blocks and follower kills 'em. Sprint forever.

I'm not an expert, but this doesn't seem like a good idea.

In my opinion, it is the worst possible road to take. I tried to do it with my first character (a Nord), and by trying to keep everything balanced, I ended up being just OK with everything and strong with nothing rather than being very strong with certain things and weak with others. Since then, I've made a pure tanking warrior and a (pretty much) pure Breton mage. Both have turned out WAY better than my generalist.

Yea I tried doing everything with my first character. Then I went to see the greybeards at level 25 and deleted that wimp shortly after. You can make a character that does everything, you just can't start shaping them that way until the 30's.

I specialize each one of my characters, that way I KNOW I can handle anything the game throws at me. That said, I plan on leveling up my other skills so I have some proficiency in them.

I am sort of leaning towards deleting my save dir and starting from scratch. I think that from the little I have seen of the game, a stealthy archer will suit my style of gaming. Kill em from far, and let their friends wonder wtf.

that's kind of how I run my second character. specialized in archery and sneak with some work in one-handed as a backup.

I get a little kick out of watching from afar when my arrow takes out an enemy and his buddy walks over and looks at it and then looks around but can't see me. Then I put him down too :D
