It seems I have been trying to post something too long. For whatever reason I keep getting an error when I try to post this as a whole. Therefore I am going to split it up as much as I need to.
I'd like to get an idea of how everyone is earning their money throughout their journeys in Skyrim. Personally I find it incredibly easy. It's harder for me to find merchants with enough gold to buy all my loot, as apposed to not having enough loot to earn my gold. I am playing an Imperial sneak thief/archer. I know Imperials get a bonus to the gold found in chests and pockets etc but I can't imagine it being too much more than the other races.
Anyway just in case anyone is having a hard time earning, here are a few of the things I have been doing.
Alchemy - Easy money. Even at low levels these guys sell for halfway decent money. Given the fact that the ingredients are ample and simply along the way for just about any task in the wilderness I found this to be a no brainer. Not to mention most merchants will purchase potions/poisons. Start out by eating some ingredients to unlock their purpose, then just start mixing and matching. It doesn't really matter all that much which ones you make unless you intend to use them. Just pay attention to the value of the potion as you select your ingredients, then shoot for the most expensive one. Keep in mind it's usually very beneficial to use more than 2 ingredients, but not always.
