Is there an off-line collection of the books, like in a pdf format anywhere?

I enjoyed a lot of books in Skyrim, but one of my favorites is Immortal Blood.

If you have an e-reader, I think this site has a file you can download for kindle, iPad, Nook, etc. http://capane.us/dovahkiin-gutenberg otherwise, I'd recommend going to the Imperial Library and copying/pasting the desired books to a word processor for offline use. (Or you can try Shoddy Cast's website. I have reason the believe he has a .pdf version.) Android has an app with all the books on it.

The Windhelm Letters stick in my memory as it was a really sad account. 2nd Era, so the city wasn't under Ulfric's rule. I held a grudge against Ulfric for the longest time because of this book and my ignorance on the different Eras. Still don't like him though.

Here are a few of my favourites:

- "Chaurus Pie - A Recipe" (This book significantly raised my disposition towards Nils. A great read!)
- "Horror of Castle Xyr" (I remember being glad I'd read this one when I had to remember the story in a Morrowind quest)
- "Immortal Blood" (The first time I read this, the ending actually startled me. Didn't see it coming)
- "A Hypothetical Treachery" (I've read this one multiple times, and it still hasn't gotten old)
- "Vernaccus and Bourlor"
- "Hallgerd's Tale"
