Yes, yes, I get it, wards are useful. There has never been any doubt of that. My issue is that, particularly when you are at lower levels it's the only thing you can use! You just don't have enough magicka to maintain it and cast anything else. That is usually my issue. I luv spellbreaker as it doesn't use any magicka at all, but, wards? Meh.

I did up until about level 40s.

Now my destruction and archery are maxed out, so enemies never actually hurt me enough or get close enough for me to need to use it, plus I tend to make potions so I just use those.
