I have completed the Eye of Magnus and Staff of Magnus quest. Several people died in that incident (Savos Arren, Mirabelle etc).
Now I am worried about my Destruction spell. Now I want to learn Destruction spell (by buying books) but there is no people related with these spells. I can't remember anyone from whom I can buy Destruction spell books. My current des spells are:- Frostbite, Flame & Spark.
Same problem in Conjuration, Alteration. There is no new magics. The existing magics are known to me. When can I buy newer Conjure, Alteration spells, when I level up more?

If you want you can be something of a paladin like me. I can vary between being a pure mage or a spell-sword. You can buy more advanced books from the old guy in the college and I know I'm not being VERY specific, but there's only one old-looking geezer there.

I believe that the person you are looking for is Farbella (sp?) she doesn't die in that battle (as far as I remember) and she's the one that gives the destruction magic spell later on when you destruction magic is at 90 or better.

There's a woman in the college who teach destruction magic. Don't remember her name though (Feralda?).
As for the poll, I actually use one-handed and magic. No shield.

like gemini said farallda is the best destruction mage in skyrim. but you can go to any mage in the castles and buy spell tombs. the higher your destruction skill the more powerfull spells you can buy.

Yes, I can remember Faralda, but unfortunately, I can't find her anywhere in the college of WinterHold for a few days.

Oh yeah the poll... where's bow? :p
Hmm. By sword and shield, I tried to mean any kind of one or two handed weapon. Sorry, I should have mentioned it clearly.

The old guy there is Tolfdir. He teaches alteration spells, not destruction. Thanks.

So for all, can you tell me where the girl Faralda is.

Faralda is usually in her room in the Hall of Countenance. Her room is the first room on your right as you enter the Hall (first floor). The Trainer NPCs at the college are, to the best of my knowledge, unkillable. The only exception might be the Enchantment Trainer.

From what I've noticed, when your Destruction skill hits certain milestone levels (50, 70, etc) that's when new skills become available to purchase. I hit 70 on Destruction last night and was able to then purchase the Wall spells along with other Expert level Destruction spells.

So you just have to be lvl 90 to get master destruction spells quest?

Not sure, I'll tell you when I get there ;)

I'm not one to powerlevel skills so it'll be a while...

The mages of the College of Winterhold are the only ones that sell Expert level and Master level spell tomes.

Pretty sure you can buy/train destruction magic with the court wizard in Solitude. Not sure how high level you can get with her, though.

Also, dude, what's with that poll? What about us who use both? xD *points at username*

For now, I have bought some destruction spells from the Court Wizard of WHITERUN. I am searching for Faralda in the Hall Of Countenance (I don't know where the Hall of Countenance is, I can only find Hall of Elements and Hall of Attainment. Let me search the Countenance).

Which one do you prefer, that's the answer. For me, why use boring handed weapons when I have magics to cast.

MY CURRENT DESTRUCTION SPELLS: FrostBite, ChainLighting, Ice Bolt, Ice Storm, Flame, Spark etc

...For me, why use boring handed weapons when I have magics to cast....
1. Because they can outdamage your spells 6 ways to Sunday.

2. Because "boring" melee weapons have killing animations.

But I prefer using both in unison! Scorch-and-stab. Fantastic, efficient, features fire or lightning, AND kill animations. (Agree with Dagmar abt those!) ... Although if they end up adding in kill animations for magic that will be glorious.
