PC Blank Lexicon Glitch?

This is just odd. I have been on the Elder Scroll quest for quite some time, and a day or two ago I opened the cube in Sigmus's outpost and he exploded and all that good stuff. I looted his body and remember picking up a lexicon and attunement sphere, I think.

Now I'm standing at the foot of the puzzle where you place the BLANK lexicon in order to retrieve the scroll, but I have a RUNED lexicon in my inventory. I have no idea what to do; I went back to Sigmus's body to make sure I looted him thoroughly and nothing is left. I did all of the quests up to his death, and now I'm stuck. I have the attunement sphere, but only a RUNED lexicon rather than BLANK.

I am playing on PC, and honestly this is pretty frustrating, so if there's a console command or something that I can use to cheat the scroll out of the puzzle... that's fine with me.

The only way the Blank Lexicon turns into a runed lexicon is by completing that puzzle, so you have probably already finished the puzzle and you just need to grab the Scroll, cos he gives u the Blank Lexicon in the Elder knowledge quest.
