Alchemy "benefactor" perk question

Hi im trying to make a master poisoner and want THE best poisons does the benefactor perk affect only potions? or can it affect poisons as well?

Benefactor is only for potions with beneficial effects, such as increasing health and stamina. For harmful potions you'll need to take the Poisoner perk as well.
