I have to say though, I thought this thread was funny more than anything. Watching certain people here getting so worked up, throwing those classic "internet insults" back and forth, "proving" that their view is correct by quoting books, arguing for the validity of their authors... I swear...
Curved. Swords.
and from Oblivion, a conversation with a weird Dunmer alchemist:
"By the way...do you happen to know what the fine is in Cyrodiil for necrophilia?"
"Is it your first offence?"
"Let's assume no."
That's actually what I thought this thread was about when I read the title.
His quest was easily one of my favourites in Oblivion. Stinky cheese, plague of rats, animals falling from the sky, what could be better?
Yes, sometimes it might seem a bit too easy, but if there's a Midas spell you really want, it definitely helps being able to just get some iron ore instead of looking for gold.
Haha, right just weapons and armour, as evidenced by your 'nice pieces' comment.
Whatever, try not to take things too seriously.

Balgruuf knows I'm the...
It's odd, when I first got Skyrim, I was excited to join a rebel group because I had wanted to fight the Empire ever since I first played Morrowind, where the Empire allowed the Dunmer to use the Argonians and Khajiit as slaves. Not just treat them as slaves, actually use them as slaves.
Hated...
Stormcloaks are used to being vastly outnumbered, it's what they do.
Cyrodiil is much more wide open than Skyrim, making it much harder to defend, and guerrilla style fighting isn't what the Legion does. All Imperial forces were certainly not in Cyrodiil at the time either. Stormcloak tactics...
I've always got the impression that it was just the common folk of Skyrim who were suspicious of magic. Ulfrich and other people of power may give the same impression, but they are politicians, they've got to pander to the stupid public. Ulfrich himself has a court wizard, and like you said, an...
If the Empire wins, they have a severely weakened fighting force that will need to be stretched out over several provinces.
If the Stormcloaks win, and the Thalmor invade Skyrim, they're going up against a Stormcloak army highly experienced in guerrilla warfare, with far superior knowledge of...
