I used a Giant to get from 90 to 100 in about 5 minutes. I got an increase about once every three blocks. The rate of increase is affected by the amount of damage blocked. The OP's plan, while safe, is an incredibly slow way to raise it.
Just use block as you normally would and it will...
Every class can be overpowered. It simply depends on the build. Individual results may vary as some people are better running as a warrior, some as a thief and some as a mage.
Once you have gotten used to the mechanics of the game on one class, there is nothing difficult about starting a different class on master difficulty. I switched my first character (sword and board) to Master around level 35 to 40. I left it on Master when starting my next character, an...
The main reason to use a shield in this game has nothing to do with armor. You can reach the cap with any type of armor, light or heavy, without the use of a shield if you use Enchanting and Smithing.
The main advantage of a shield is in the Elemental Protection and Block Runner perks...
Yeah, the maximum total protection is actually 97.75% resistance if you have both resist magic and your elemental resistances at 85%. I have 85/80 which is 97% on my Redguard. Mages, which used to be his bane at earlier levels without the resistance, now pose no more of a threat than a...
Resist magic and resist elemental types are different. They don't add together, but each will reduce damage separately. The game applies your resist magic first, then applies the appropriate elemental resistance (fire/frost/shock) after that.
If you have 25% resist magic and 46% resistance to...
No. The gem you are using doesn't matter. Only the "size" of the soul it contains matters. Who or what that soul came from doesn't matter either - animal, human, who cares. A grand soul from a mammoth is the same as a grand soul from a bandit when it comes to using it.
3,4,5 and 6 have absolutely nothing to do with the resulting enchantment you place on an item. On #1, a minor clarification - it's the size of the soul that matters, not the gem. A petty soul stored in a grand soul gem is the same as a petty soul in a petty soul gem.
The only other things...
I carry Volsung as an extra piece, but wouldn't wear it as my normal every day head piece. The enhancements on it don't improve anything that helps you in combat. I put it on when I am heavy with loot at the end of a dungeon, or when I am dealing with vendors. When it is time to fight, I put...
Just a word of advice to those using a card similar to mine - I have a 1GB Radeon HD 5770. Shortly after telling someone in a thread on this forum how their problems with the Radeon card may be specific to the 6x line of cards as I'd had absolutely no graphical glitches in 200 hours of game...
Not necessarily. As a heavy armor sword and board, Otar is probably more useful than anything you can craft. The available enchantments you can put on a head piece are:
Alchemy
Archery
Lockpicking
Magicka
Regen Magicka
Fortify (Magicka school - ie Destruction, Illusion etc...)
Waterbreathing...
Everything becomes easy with familiarity and a well built character. I started a stealth/illusion archer. I am playing him on Master difficulty from the start. I have him up to level 35 and have only put perks into Sneak, Illusion, Archery and 1H. I have not crafted a single thing. No...
Using +32% enchanting potions made with +116% in alchemy gear, I have 4 pieces that are +47% each for +188%. I think that's pretty much as high as you can go without using any exploits.
I've got Dragonbane (14 base dmg 1H sword) up to 518 displayed damage - again, without using any exploits...
While that certainly would work, there isn't much point to it. Why waste the perks to make even more money when you can't spend what you already have? I have at least 150k worth of stuff to sell stashed in containers in my houses, but since I already have almost 300k in gold and nothing to...
The bigger mystery is why someone who doesn't like the game, would bother seeking out a forum dedicated to said game on which to waste their time posting about it.
