So, Illusion is a valid school? I'm going to start a new mage character, is Illusion worth the perk-points?
If I'm gonna focus on Illusion, Conjuration (can't live without those Dremora Lords ), Destruction (Shock and Fire), Restoration and Enchanting. Does that sound like a good build?
I like Illusion, but it tends to fall behind for me, and since the spells are all restricted by your enemy's level, they end up useless unless you take most, if not all, of the perks and double cast.
That's just my perspective though. On my new mage character I plan to level all schools though and I'm going to try to keep illusion relevant.
Thanks for all the tips! This will surely help me when starting a new mage. I guess I'll be giving Illusion a go then.
Aren't atronochs stronger than zombies? If you want to go Illusion and Conjuration, I'd recommend Necromancy. That way when you get down to the last guy, you can raise one of his dead buddies to finish him off.

Maybe because you're an arrow slinger. That's probably why Fury doesn't work.I have never been able to get the Fury spell to work. I am level 60 and nearly all the enemies I have are much higher than the level cut off limit the Fury works on. I have never even seen the effects of using it.
Even with all the illusion perks and dual-casting, I don't think Fury will work at that level. You have to use a stronger spell, unfortunately.I have never been able to get the Fury spell to work.
