Is that a Spartan shield on the wall?

Indeed it is, this one has been blessed to have the opportunity to visit ancient Sparta, this one has lived in Greece for 27 years.
the only link this one can think off, that links my self to the Spartans, is that the island Sah comes from was under Spartan occupation or just a base. Lesbos is suppose to be right across where Troy is located! But its rude to claim to be something your not!

PS. its not real its a replica. now you can see why this one has such a passion with shields in her videos, Greece was fantastic, one day will go back....you would go for walks into the forest and every now and then stumble onto ruins scattered (not much, but something), remains of temples....but no caves! you can possibly live your skyrim fantasy's for real

Replica or no, it's still pretty cool. I think you can get battle-ready versions from Windlass Steelcrafts, among other places. Pretty awesome, living in Greece. I'd love to visit there one day, but I suspect that will never occur. Maybe I'll discover I'm really Zeus or something. :D

who knows what is around the corner? JoeReese *mental Note: should listen to my own advice*
Take the Zeus job....not the one of Primeminister of Greece......its much easier to be Zeus....lol

will look into finding this blacksmith Windlass Steelcrafts.....thanks

LOL. If nothing else, the ambrosia and thunderbolt perks are worthwhile.

Here's Windlass http://windlass.com/ I don't know what others there are, but Reliks in Canada, and Museum Replicas Ltd. in the US are both Windlass-owned distributors.

My main hunting was for a sword, so I spent time here http://www.sword-buyers-guide.com/
learning about the different manufacturers and reading reviews and testing, etc. Not sure about armor/shield quality, but you can get an overall idea of their reputation, in comparison to the others and to custom makers.

Hope it helps.

this one notices the all research you have done.....so come clean....did you get it? if yes would love to see it.....picture that is....this one would not be responsible for any sudden urges for quests if she held the real thing.......this one gets like that around Katana's....

Ha, yes I got it, but it's not a Katana. It's the Windlass copy of the Ulfberht. I liked the utilitarian simplicity of the hilt, though I could as easily do without the blade etchings. I bought mine from Reliks, mainly because it had been discontinued at the time and Reliks had the cheaper of the last few I could find available. I don't have any pics of my own, but this is the Windlass demo pic.

Unfortunately, Reliks' sharpening service did not do justice to the blade geometry. The sword will slice a tomato with just a gentle slip, but one side of each edge is at an odd angle, where I believe they kept it on the grinder too long. Once I get a better feel for what I'm doing, so I don't ruin it, I intend to reshape the edges and, at the same time, turn the rounded cutting tip into a pointed thrusting tip. I have been able to cut with it, a bit. It will take the top off a full water jug and leave the bottom, still full, sitting in place. :D:D:D:D:D

This is one of the reviews I watched, while I was deciding on which sword to get. This guys in one of the SBGs regulars, and seems to know his way around a sword.
