You might also want to focus on the raising dead spells for Conjuration. There's a nice thread that Adam Warlock started a while ago that examines the capabilities of different NPC's as Thralls called Thrall Thread : Living with the dead.

they do become useless at higher levels as the strongest spell wont even be able to bring a guard back so if I were you I could try tostay at a low level to insure you can bring back all enemies from the dead, I hate it how the world seems to revolve around you

3rd Breton...

Why does it seem like modders constantly spam threads with mod responses in General Discussion? Isn't there a forum just for modders to help modders? Modders coming here to give advice always equates to:

"Well, this is what I did but I can mod and you can't... so neener neener and that sucks for you."

How about offering some advice within the framework of Skyrim as released without mods?

I tried to make a 'beautiful' dark elf vampire lord once.

Epic failure.

The Thralls can be up to level 40 (Guards are level 50). You can bring back dead NPC's for interesting effects as they retain their powers and some Thralls have unique ones like Orchendor's ability to teleport. In addition, even at level 36 Cryomancers, Electromancers and Pyromancers have better spells than any of the spellcasting followers. You can also equip Thralls with weapons and shields prior to raising them and they will use them.

While it's an exploit, if a player character takes the Necromage perk after becoming a vampire it raises the Thrall level cap to 50 which makes it even more useful.

The exploit don't work on my game anymore I have the Unofficial patch:sadface: besides it also increases the Vamps weakness 2

There's a mod that reenables the exploit if you have the USKP.

Apparently a lot of players negate the increased weakness by using custom made resist enchantments (which are also 25% stronger on their characters).

see we can have a friendly conversation, anyway back to the point, I don't bother with using Custom enchanments that override the effects of another unless it completely removed the negative effects, as for vampires and being able to resuurect people I use the Better Vampires ML mod and it lets me resurrect enemies up to level 100 so I don't really need to enable the exploit with another mod to be more powerful

Speaking of lycans. There was an interesting post earlier about Lycans being underpowered in the game. In some ways I have to agree, although they are a potent, in some ways they seem to not be a real threat to many NPCs. Any opinion on that? I luv mine, but want to try the vamp side for comparison purposes. I'll admit that the Lyc has significant advantages against vamps (in that they cannot get the disease at all and have a much higher HP value than the average person and recovery methods bar none.
The vanilla version is underpowered because healing is limited to feeding off of humanoid corpses and there's zero damage resistance. With nerfed healing rate that makes the Beast form extremely vulnerable in fights against non-humanoid characters.

I still liked using it in encounters with the Silver Hand and other humanoid groups because the speed in Beast form is extreme and no humanoid enemy can defend against the running power attack which ragdoll stuns them. It works well because you move so fast that they can't even hit you most of the time and you basically just stun all of them and then flurry attack them one by one until they're all dead.

Before it was patched you could ragdoll Mammoths which was kind of funny. You can still ragdoll Giants though.

The Dawnguard version addresses all the shortcomings IMO. You get physical damage resistance and, fully perked, you can feed off of most corpses and regain a lot more health (and your damage is doubled per attack).

it kinda sucks considering the rings you can get in dragonborn will only work with the Beast form transformation and a not the Ring of Hircine beast transformation because you need to wear the rings to get their effects in beast form but you can only use the beast form power once a day and you need to be wearing Hircines ring to transform more than once a day

Really, my own vampire mage story is very similar to Delusionals' character, except he's male and not so pretty. Being a vampire was just something on a whim. I would recommend putting a lot of points into Destruction, because eventually you kinda just one-shot everything. Sure, that may take away some of the challenge, but you get to be a god! Also, Illusion is pretty much a must. You get a massive boost as a racial bonus, but Illusion and Sneak really helps. The vampire is really more suited towards thieves and assassins.

I always wondered why my attempt to make a Nord vampire never seems to come out attractive in any way like Serana, or Valerica

it is impossible in the vanilla game to make an attractive vampire because of the but ugly red line on the Vampires faces but the main reason is because Serana and valerica are not actually Flagged as Vampires in the Games Data, Harkon also that is why they look normal except for their vampire eyes an is also why none of them have fangs, so making you character look like them can not be done because whenever you become a vampire you will be flagged as one and get given the Vampire look from ingame data, It was an overlook on bethesdas part because that redline should only be on vampires who have the bat nose

I'm helping. Mostly.
Let me guess, I'm not beautiful enough?
