Luckily last night I was saving often. I was doing the The Forsworn Conspiracy quest line when I noticed the quest initiator was already dead when it was time to hand in the quests. So Margret's and some other guys book would be stuck in my inventory adding weight until I started a new toon. I went back to an earlier save and with some help from http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/The_Forsworn_Conspiracy I managed to turn in the quests at each critical point so I could finish the chain and not get stuck with yet more weight I couldn't drop.

2. Cannot go into master bedroom in Hjerim. All my geat inside bedroom is lost.

3. Cannot open certain door or activate levers in dungeons. (Doors are not barred from other side, or sealed, just a normal freaking wooden door)..

4. Dragon Priest at Shearpoint will not come out of coffin.

I can go on and on. This is just a few of the glitches.

Now, Since I really digged this game, i told ym friends about ti. Well 2 of them bought the game. Both of theirs glitched out before making it as far as I did into the game. So basically the 3 of us spent over $200 plus a several hundred hours to feel totally screwed. Anybody know how to contact Besthda, I want a refund.

I so feel you.....you need to check out one of my posts about this game being a scam.

I really genuinely feel bad for you guys.. Seems like console players are getting the short end of the stick here. The PC version has no/very minimal glitches so far, my brother has completed the game once, and only encounter a small glitch that went away after a while, that was probably it.

I don't understand how this game with it's many broken quests, freezing, glitches, bugs can be game of the year and how come these problems make some ppl feel like we are whiny when it's impossible to complete the game 100%. Don't get me wrong it's a good game but goty......HELL to the NAW!!!! For example when I lost Shadowmere for no reason or acquiring a bounty for killing a chicken when fighting a dragon or being stuck 3rd person mode while getting raped from the back by soldiers is just plain silly......either way $60 for a game this sucky and only about what $25 for a trade in....CAN WE SAY scam (so I still stand by my opinion)

Lol. I consider myself lucky. I have skyrim for ps3 and im approaching 200hours of play and i've only encountered minor glitches. mainly floating stuff, and the house in whiterun is a lil glitchy from time to time but other than that the game runs as smooth as gold.

Lol killing a chicken? back in the old days that was a death sentence youre lucky its only a 40gold fine.
And if we keep looking at just the glitches then yea we make the game sound like plops. if you look at it in a whole its actaully rather good.....
But i have no problem with glitches so i guess you guys are s.o.l lol

all im saying the experience of this game is fukin awesome but the major and minor issues make it so grrrrr. I remember a time when I got tore fighting two dragons and my follower get her ass killed because she "followed me" (lydia). She sat there while these dragons fire and ice me to the gates of oblivion.....A.I not to good in that aspect. I will not even complain what happen to me when I was floating across a mountain....

Actually the GOTY IMHO, really applies to the PC version of Skyrim. And the price is more than worth it. With mods, the game never gets old. I have no idea how many playthroughs I played Fallout 3, Oblivion and Fallout New Vegas over the years before skyrim each with a different set of mods.

Hi there,
I can actually help you out with this one if you have a save prior to turning in PoR to Farkas. I had this exact issue as well & the solution is to simply fast travel to driftshade. Thats it. Once you do that, the radiant ai will spawn baddies & you can go turn in to Farkas. You absolutely have to go to driftshade 1st tho because once you approach him @ jorrvaskr, he'll auto-dialogue, which will complete PoR but won't start Glory of the Dead. At that point, you are officially screwed.
If theres a bright side to all this, I hear beth is gonna start fixing broken quests this month & if I were a betting man I'd say the priority would be main quest bugs, faction quest bugs, daedric quest bugs, major side quest bugs, & miscellaneous quest bugs. That would mean your issues will be solved somewhat soon. I wont insert a sarcastic quip here because I feel your pain. I lost 300+ hours about a month ago to The Pursuit, A Blade in the Dark & a number of others. Hope this helps.

Hmm have no idea which save would be before this but it was last week so I don't know if its worth it at this point. Sadly Driftshade has respawned but the dialog options continuing with PoR do not appear, everyone is just crying over the attack but won't help me take revenge!!!

What should you do? Get a 360. I have a 6 year old console and have never had any problems with it. All games work well and even the controllers can take a hell of a beating. I owned a PS2 and PS3, but I believe the 360 is superior.

From what I'm hearing the PC version seem it has less issues....I own a 360 and I'm telling you I almost smashed mine because of Skyrim.

I would say TES games are meant to be played on computers. They put the game on console because they wanted more audience and get into GOTY nomination for multi-platform. That's how I view it, at least.

I don't quite understand why consoles aren't better than PC as far as bugs and glitches. Consoles mostly have the same software and hardware and this is definitely not the case with PC. The mod community is what helps the PC most as they fix the bugs that Bethesda should have fixed via proper beta testing. For a professional multi million dollar company who is many titles into this open world gameplay thing Skyrim feels like it would have benefitted from a bit more testing.

Better, more deeply tested game > keeping to a firm release date

Ik....what makes me mad is without proper testing I feel like Bethesda only wanted to see if the game would sale and THEN try and fix it with updates. Did they want to sell it that bad before Christmas? This game shouldn't have been released this early...maybe the spring 2012 should have been the release date. Who the hell authorized the release with this many bugs and glitches? Anyways overall Skyrim is good but as I stated before not GOTY by far.

Bethesda is a company known to strictly keep their release dates, they set that date last year but internally set probably 2 years+, this time it was a mistake in my opinion. And yes I agree it had the "BUY ME BEFORE CHRISTMAS TO BOOST SALES!" type of feel to it.

Even still its been my favorite game for 2 months, looking forward to patches l suppose...

Therefore niether is supierior.
And lol did anyone notice the lack of a beta for skyrim? we are the beta testers and the more we complian the more they will work to fix it.... or not give a plops either way im happy with skyrim and im not going to whine and complian about wasted money because it wont be long til TES 6 is out and we've all forgotten about skyrim

It took 2, 6, 4, then 5 years respectively between major TES game releases so I don't think we will see TES 6 that soon. Skyrim is such a fun and amazing game but needs just a little more polish to last ~4+ years. Of course there will be big patches, hopefully expansions, and major addons & DLC along the way which will only further advance the superiority of this game over all others in my opinion.
