Why do so many armours look better on female characters?

Seriously, am I the only person that person who doesn't think this? Some of the armours just look silly on males - especially leathers ones like Dark Brotherhood, Thieves Guild, and Leather.
Here's the ones I think look better on women:
-Elven
-Shrouded
-Thieves Guild
-Ancient Nord (case in point:

Some of the male armours just seem too revealing or incredibly tight like DB.
Eh, maybe it's just me.

And how does armor grow projections for breasts that disappear again if you take it back?

First off... the Ancient Nord armour deserves a lol. ^w^

Well.. I mean, look at this way from a female:

EVERY. SINGLE. GAME. (and so some people wont rage at 'every', some games are an exception) The female characters are stuck with these skimpy little outfits that wouldn't even hold up to a bunny attack irl. So, it really is refreshing to feel gar with some actual armour on.

But, why do those certain ones look better on girls? Perhaps the female body allowed for better placement and detailing. Perhaps the designers were women who, (for the nord outfit), looked towards the Romans and such. Perhaps it's okay to have a little leg showing, rofl. Even the male gods in Immortals proved that:

Or perhaps it truly is because the armour is on a female-and to a guy-it automatically becomes better looking.. (or that perhaps it is because it's attractive to see a girl in armour because it's different from the usual teaching of that a girl is 'weak'.) (We are not.)

Who knows? :p

It's not really the legs that I have a problem with. The male Ancient Nord just looks ridiculously balanced. The torso is covered in iron and steel plates, as are the shoulders, the gauntlets and the boots. But around the legs is just some fur which doesn't even cover them all, leaving most of the legs still visible.

It's probably because girls are just generally more amazing... ;) But all the other have valid points, but it all honestly comes to down to, um, well..... sexual orientation and how detailed/simple the armor actually is. No heterosexual male would like an armor/clothing that consists of a skimpy thong and top on another male, but on a female, they don't mind at all, in fact most would actually enjoy it. So that's what it comes down really. I like the female armors better. Especially the armor Aela wears. It's just plain awesome.

They look better to me because I'm a heterosexual male.

Pretty much. Ancient nord armor is cool, skimpiness notwithstanding. I do get tired of the "boob plate". I mean, I get that there'd be chaffing and such, but seriously, boob slots are a bit comic. It's not like nerds must have EVERYTHING be soft porn. I think the Dwemer armor was done well in this respect: no boob slots, just a normal plate of metal.

Aww. I thought you were talking about mod armor.... I had an argument prepared and everything!

Maybe it's because certain armors are only intended to be worn by certain characters, and to avoid breakage they had to make models both genders. Example, by the time you get ancient nord armor, you have access to much better - and better looking armor. Maybe ancient nord armor for males was an afterthought, as aela is the only person who was meant to be wearing it?
