Just as the title says, I recently became a vampire and I was wondering which one trumps the other one. Say I have 50% resist magic and 100% fire weakness. Does that mean I now only have 50% weakness to fire?

Not sure how these resistances stack, looking to walk around as a stage 4 and hoping to minimize the negative effects.

I think you nailed it. If you have 50% magic resistance then you gain 50% resistance to all schools of magic. If you already have a weakness then it subtracts from it.
