The house of horrors daedric quest help

The quest says after the first time walking in markarth youll see tyranus and yngvar talking by the abandoned house and youll follow tyranus into the house blah blah. Well I cant find these guys anywhere ive searched and searched. Does anyone know whats up. Also the stormcloaks have markarth now I dont know if that would change anything.

The Stormcloaks being there shouldn't change anything, as I think I did this quest when they occupied it. Hmmm, I've honestly never heard of them not being there. Did you simply leave and re-enter the city?

Ive re entered reset everything And i dont see them where it says there supposed to be. Ive checked the bar and temple to try to find the one guy buy I just dont know where he is

I have the problem outlined at uesp wiki. I can't start the House of Horrors quest. It has something to do with not coming in the city the right way and the Forsworn quest not starting and it breaks the Haunted House quest. I tried console commands but they don't work and I tried killing Margaret in stealth mode but even if I drink an invisibility potion they always come after me.

I wouldn't care so much but I'm trying to attain all the achievements and if I don't get through all the daedric quests I won't get that achievement. I had to do one quest line over with another character because it wouldn't aknowlege that I had completed it (Glory of the Dead) in order to get that achievement. Now am I going to have to do all the daedric quests over with another character because of this bug? I've already got 11 out of 15 done..

Well if it's working for you I know where he's supposed to be. When you enter the city walk past the sale stalls and down the right side of the lower street level. He should be standing in front of an abandoned house. He should be talking to someone about strange lights.

I was able to do this quest with another character but it won't count towards my achievement ( I don't think ) unless one character does them all. Guess I'll have to have that other character complete all the other quests I've already done. BAH!!

I have a feeling if you found him he wouldn't have the conversation options you need. Someone posted somewhere else that they did the console player.moveto thing and found him but he wouldn't start the quest. So I guess we're hosed.

I figure if I can find him he would still have the same options. Ive had other quests do that where I already saw the scene but didnt make contact and came back and found them later and the option appeared. I just dont know where these people are

I scanned through the uesp wiki on this quest and it mentions that if Tyranus is missing he might show up near the stables.
Yngvar is often found in the tavern or leaning against the stairs very near the abandoned house. It also mentions that he's part of a "victimsfactions" and tracing that led to the "forswornfaction"... which makes me believe that he might possibly get killed during the escape.

plops I hope he didnt get killed. I mean I would think he wouldnt because he opens a major quest in the game. But ill check out the stables. I just hope I can find him its my last daedric quest. Ill be pissed if I can get all the achievements

Yngvar may not have gotten killed, because that would also break the quests gotten from the Temple of Mara in Riften... Book of Lover or somthing like that

So I fast traveled to the stables outside markarth and before it even loaded he was talking to me. So thats where he ends up

no matter what levl are you just go to the inn and talk to the bar man about any gosip and he wil ltell you where to find tyranus
