Hi, I'm trying to start a new roleplay even though I'm in many others. The reason is mainly because I have got enough time and am usually on everyday and even more importantly, I enjoy it!This thread is for discussing the roleplay and to post out of character comments.
I want you to not think of me as the leader of the roleplay but more like the guider.
Here are the rules:
1. Please make your characters original, but within the races of Skyrim. (example. no aliens, zombie people, etc.) Although, I will allow mutt races. (example. Nord/Imperial)
2. No godmoding! (characters that have all the daedric artifacts, have infinite amounts of gold, are always silent when assassinating...things like that) No one likes a godmoder.
3. Before we begin the role-play, please post your character card. The character card should be filled out as followed:
Name: Can be just first name, I won't require a last name unless you would like to provide one of course. Nicknames are welcome as well. Especially if there's an interesting, or not so interesting, story behind them!
Gender: Female or male.
Age: Now here, you don't need to be very specific in the aspect of years. Simply listing the stage of life they are in is sufficient. (ex. teen, early adulthood, late adulthood, elderly, etc.)
Class: Is your character a warrior that uses strictly two-handed weapons? A mage that's expertise is in restoration? An assassin that is like the shadows? A fresh face not sure which class to take? Etc.
Now usually on these character cards you would see personality and history (sometimes) but, to me, putting a set personality to a character kind of kills the spontaneity. Having a character's history laid out for everyone is boring to me (not sure about all of you) and takes away from the realism of the role-play. History and personality should be found out gradually through the role-play. Think of it like how a book would explain a character throughout the story.
5. Do not bully the other role-players. If they have made a mistake, or their grammar is bothering you please correct them politely.
6. Please use proper grammar. Tlking lik tiz iz anoyig ya?
7. Do not make decisions for/play another character unless given specific permission by the character's owner.
8. Your character may NOT be a Dragonborn. It would be too conflicting with other role-players' characters. Just imagine everyone shouting for no reason all the time. It would get annoying. But by no means am I saying your character couldn't have interesting perks that they've honed over the years. Again, original characters are important.
9. Lastly, everyone should have fun. Role-playing is a release from everyday troubles through the mystical world created by our words, and it should be enjoyed.
Now that all that rule stuff is out of the way, who would like to start a role-play with me?
NOTE: Once we've gathered together, put together a plot, shared character cards, and what not, I'll start a private thread for purely the role play. If we needed to have an out of character moment you could post it here, on this thread, so everyone knows, or, if it's a private matter, send a message.
