Gemini Sierra

Pre-emptive Salvage Specialist
I am Khajiit. The primary hunter for a caravan working the northern province of Cyrodiil in the mountains south of the Skyrim country. It was a cold, windy and snowy night. My fellow caravaners were hunkered down for the night in their tents and I was on watch. I heard noises from the north and went to investigate. The Imperials were raiding a Stormcloak camp just the other side of a ridge from my camp and where using the weather conditions to sneak up on the Stormcloaks. As I got closer to see, I was setup upon by an Imperial warrior knocking me out. Next thing I knew I was in the cart with Ulfric. I can only hope that my caravan troupe finds me... but knowing them, they'll swing further south to get out of the snow and find warmer weather.

Nice thread :)

My Khajiit's family were workers on a Moonsugar plantation in Elsweyr, and were killed when she was very young when the plantation was raided by Skooma dealers desperate . She managed to escape and lived on her own for the next few years of her life, wandering all around Elsweyr, and later all over Tamriel, surviving on stealth and thievery to get by. Shortly after crossing north into Skyrim to escape the chaos of Cyrodiil, she stealthily approached a small Stormcloak camp, hoping to get her hands on some supplies... And then the Imperials showed up.

The Barefoot Nord

I need some dragon scale shoes.
I was innocently harvesting Moon Sugar for my cereal, when I saw a Blue Butterly and followed it. Next thing I know I have an arrow poking me in the back and I am being told to drop the Skooma and spread em.

I of course did what you would excpect me to do... I ate the butterfly wings, downed some more Skooma and headed off with my new pals to the chopping block.

Sky High

Resident of Earth and Wonderland
Valund Enthrod was a Nord in Cyrodiil with a content life. He was in his mid-20's, living in the house he inherited from his parents (they had died when he was a toddler and he was raised by his nanny). He was courting one of Bruma's finest maidens. Unfortunately, his luck ran low one day.

Valund was on a fine hunt one day and soon lost track of where he was as he took down game left and right. Soon enough, he saw a temporary camp set up with soldiers walking around. Then, just as soon as he walked into the camp, soldiers with Imperial armor charged into the camp, taking everyone prisoner.

Daelon DuLac

How do you backstab a Dragon?
1) Nord - Fenris - on a hunting mission in Morrowind and was coming across the border, got caught up in the raid
2) Altmer - Den Moria - after the murder of his family spent time in Cyrodil recovering and planning Elenwyn's assassination. Coming back to Skryim to start his plan when ran in to Stormcloaks that attacked him thinking he was a Thalmor (which he was) and the Imperials showed up and caught in raid.
3) Khajit - Murat Khemil - grew up in Skryim near Whiterun - apprentice to Drelas - on a book and item collecting mission for his master when captured and beaten by Stormcloaks when coming back across border (of course he was trying to steal some books from Ulfrich that were rare and expensive at the time and got caught :)) - Imperials showed up, caught in raid.

I've only developed capture stories for some of my characters. Prepare for wordiness:

Aaloura (Bosmer):This girl is nothing but trouble (and my most well rounded character, having lived through several games). She caught passage on a series of ships from Valenwood to Cyrodiil, sometimes making her way with hard work and general usefulness, other times using more unsavory means. She began an intimate relationship with a Guard Commander while working for him as a scout/spy in investigations of local criminal activity. He began to suspect that she was using him to report on the guard activity for the pirate leaders instead, and had her followed...to his house...where she was caught in bed with his wife. Aaloura was arrested for treason and espionage.

She escaped and ran to Bruma where she was captured by Legionnaires and badly beaten. She awoke bound and gagged in a cart in the mountains, staring down a blonde Nord that wouldn't.shut.up. When the cart stopped she found herself looking into the eyes of an Imperial Captain - who bore a too-striking resemblance to the Guard Commander she betrayed (in more than one way). She groaned, knowing that this would not end well.

Falarion Thoruseus (Altmer): Not captured - He's a Thalmor soldier, roughed up and planted to watch Ulfric and seek a discrete opportunity to disrupt the execution. Realized too late that First Emissary Elenwen did not have any control over the situation and that he may actually be killed by the stupid Empire while on this assignment.

Ysela Stillgaze (Nord): Grew up in a small, isolated mining and hunting community in the South of Skyrim. Things were very quiet until the civil war created a lot of cart and horse traffic of soldiers and supplies on the nearby road. She was always unclear why the shrine of Kynareth was open but the Shrine of Talos was in the cellar and never spoken of, and her family never talked of politics or current events. Then her village was raided by Imperial soldiers being barked at by some tall, bronze elves. After a few days of grief and helplessness she decided to go in search of her father and brother, who were taken into custody when they had fought to block the soldiers entrance to the house. She didn't know what she could do, she just needed to know what had happened to them. She followed the tracks to a military camp just south of the border before being spotted.

Endryn (Dunmer): Thief and grifter. Spent most of his adult years working through Elsweyr and Cyrodiil. Drinks too much and indulges in an occassional weakness for Sleeping Tree Sap. Got sloppy drunk and botched an attempt to pickpocket a Nobleman. Stupidly tried to use the man's wife as a hostage and shield when the guards tried to arrest him, doesn't remember what happened next.

Majir-Dar

Confused Khajiit
I was convicted of murder. I slew a man in front of his wife and ate him. Next, I sacrificed their children to Molag Bal and I let Sanguine have his way with their wine cellar and the woman. Then, I... this is getting dark. Long story short, the Imperials don't take too kindly to rogue Altmer Daedra worshipers.

My Khajiit character was taken in for Moon Sugar consumption. Even though Moon Sugar should be legal anyway and he was going through massive withdrawals, and it's part of his religion. It may have also been the Skooma, but I swear I was just holding it for a friend.

My Imperial was a soldier that deserted his post but was caught before he could make it across the border.

My Orc was a bandit.

My Nord was a Stormcloak dragon worshiper.

The usual stuff.

The Wanderer

Young Heritic
After studying in the Imperial City for years, he Traveled to Skyrim to explore. H e wasn't guilty of anything, other than wanting to explore a new place... As well as smuggling Skooma in to Skyrim along with his trading caravan.

Nephor The Shadow Stalker

Strike swiftly and silently.
Nephor came to Skyrim investigate the war and see if he could lend his talents to help make peace one way or another. Stevaus came because of DB contract over his head due to relations with a married Dunmer bar maiden.

Thanks. There's a lot of fun places to take a character with that backstory. I grew weary of him and abandoned him around level 30 though.

Kalin of High Rock

Faal Lun Vahdin
Kalin had run away from her home and schooling within the Imperial City of Cyrodiil. Having no wish to join The Imperial Synod; an organization with a reputation for collusion and grasping political aspirations rather than the pursuit of arcane knowledge.

A callow youth with her mind set on joining the storied College of Winterhold, though she had hardly a notion at all of how to actually get there.

Knowing that her father would send the city guard after her, she cut off her hair dressed as a boy. Having stolen a horse, she left the city in the dark of night with only what few possessions she could carry to trade for food.

On the road north she came across a band of nord warriors. Following The Great War, the patrols of the beleaguered Imperial Legion has grown lax. The roads of cyrodiil where no longer safe to travel alone, least of all for a novice mage. Offering what little coin she could, the Nords allowed her to fall in with them so far as the boarder on the Jerall Mountains, where they would rendezvous with more of their kin.

Over the next days traveling with her new companions she learned that many of them were natives of The Imperial Province who had been rallied to the call for rebellion. "Storm Cloaks" they called themselves in hushed tones, though it seemed as though only their officers had ever actually seen the province of Skyrim; having journeyed south to recruit fresh blood to the cause.

And so they traveled north together.

Ru;indil

Mage Lord of Skywatch
My Imperial was a magister in the Mages Guild of Cyrodil. He went to the Skyrim to search for powerful magic scrolls and study it's various plant species. He was practicing with Ice Storm and due to the extreme cold, he farted. Suddenly many Imperial soldiers came up to him and arrested him , stating ''Halt! You will be arrested for polluting the air with your inhumane gas!''.
He got the wrong idea that they were envious of him so he released his 'inhumane gas' once more, along with a smirk on his face. They stated ''Halt! You will now be executed whether your name is on the list or not!''. And then his face was like WTF. Soon he fell into a depression and fainted , only to be later awakened by an argument of a Stormcloak rebel and a horse thief.
