Snow Elves and Crossbows?

Anything new would be exciting. If they made a co-op mode 2 to 4 players it would be game of the decade.

I remember Red Dead Redemption looking so cool and being able to go everywhere and then they added online co-op mode with some initial bugs they ironed out. Skyrim dwarfed Red Dead Redemption, now we just need a DLC content pack and a co-op online mode.

There's an RP thread where there's a probablity of the Falmer Uprising being lead by a new Snow Prince... I say they stole our idea... LOL... then again... there is hint of the Falmer rising again in the book... The Falmer:A Study at the very end.

The crossbow is likely to be severely underpowered.

Only new areas using new graphics assets and new quests are interesting to me at this point.

I'm just going by what I've seen already.... they seem to have a carrot-on-stick type of game going on.

Snow elves, eh? I think this might be leading up to a falmer invasion of the surface world... or maybe when the dwemer defeated the falmer in war some snow elves escaped and formed their own colony or civilization. Or possibly we could be going to Solstheim. I think the Snow Price is buried there, right? Anyway, while all this talk of snow elves and crossbows is going on... does anyone other than me want to find out Sapphire's real name?

I've found that I can use my recticle to hit the same spot on a target wether it's 10 feet or 150 feet. The truth is, arrows tend to start dropping rapidly after 50-60 feet. The other issue I have is the damage after the hit. I've shot 190 lb deer at 30 yards (speed appx 270 fps) and gotten a complete passthrough. I understand that shooting a bandit with orchish armor isn't going to get too far, but if I shoot a rabbit, I expect more than 2 inches of penetration. Let's not forget wind drift and human error as well.
I think Battlefield 2 was the first major game that accounted for gravity when shooting anything. For a game like this, I think it would be a good idea to introduce an option of having a 'Realistic Shooting' mode. I think if it was just switched over to that instead of the option, people would complain but I bet 90% of those that would have always complained, would end up trying, liking and sticking to the realistic mode and never go back. It sounds hard but you quickly get a 'feel' of just how high you have to aim at certain distances.
That being said the double arrow recovery perk needs to be fixed.
I also like the idea of certain areas of the body being hit (Arm, Legs, etc.) having less effect.

While I am at it, more NPC dialogue should be made. A 100s of college theater groups would LOVE to volunteer hours of free voicing dialogue recording. I think much of Skyrim will still be impressive a few years to come but the small amount of dialogue will be looked on as silly and unnecessary short-cuts to an amazing game. I understand that this is not a site to give feedback to developers but for the love of all things sacred, lets get the message to have a unique voice for each character and more than 2 to 5 lines as you pass / encounter the same people hundreds of time.
i.e "I work for Belathor at the General Goods store." I know that!!!!!! I'm in his store with you right now and you have told me that 500 times this week!! Those kids too....don't make them smart off to us if we can't either kill them or tell them to never speak to you again.

I would want to see arrows doing less damage of specific body parts

wether i shoot someone in the head of in his hand, he dies either way. same amount of damage done.
would make the game alot more challenging

I would like to see if you shoot someone in the knee, they start limping, slow down, you know?

Oh yes, I'd love to see realisic 'damage' as well.... or perhaps, chopping off limbs, but not disabling a foe... (we all know how much we'd enjoy watching a one-legged lydia as a follower :D)

Skyrim DLC seems something like this...

Vampire hunting guild recruits you and brings you somewhere north of Dawnstar to hunt down a vampire tribe. While there, you find that the vampires us crossbows and that their leader is a vampiric Snow Elf Prince, who survived the extinction event by being bitten by a vampire. In the end, you can choose to kill the vampire hunters who want to kill the only remaining snow elf, or you can work with the guild to get rid of the vampires and, and in the process, killing the only non-perverted Snow Elf in existence.

i imagine the difference in bows/crossbows is crossbow bolts fly ALOT faster than arrows making them medieval bullets basically making them highly valued for assassins but probably cant be enchanted or do less damage, even though in real life crossbows have 100X more impact power.

In the dwarven ruins aren't there mounted crossbows? So maybe it's a new ruin which the snow elf prince has taken shelter in and the crossbow is in his posesion? The dwarves had only made one crossbow?this one is the only crossbow still intact?

Wow one new weapon, yawn. The only things I'm actually wanting in dlc form are as follows.

1. New locations and quests.
2. Doubled skill level caps with double the amount of perks.
3. Coop mode (never going to happen but hey, it would make it even more the best game ever).

Dragon mounts? No thanks.
Only one new weapon? Come on, more or don't bother please.
Bethesda have created some really good dlc in the past so whatever is in this dlc it going to be good, it just won't be anywhere near as good as it could be.

Those arnt crossbows they are Balistas basically siege crossbows. but not hand held its a siege weapon that is normally operated by a crew of 2-4 but its mounted so...yeah also @ herperlarp dont judge something that was barely mined. for all we know that knowledge is but a mere fragment of what is to come, afterall it IS taking forever and they promised they would come through with good dlc. have faith.

Look up trendkillv01 on YouTube. he updates on the released dlc info if you can't be bothered to look yourself. ;)

Maybe even the old trick where you injure one person, which causes others to come help that person. It's a trap! You then take out the person(s) helping the wounded.
