Having a weird issue. Chests and corpses have started taking a few seconds to open and, at least in Breezehome it takes forever to put and item into or take one out of the chests. Was fine before and I don't know what would've caused it now. Does anyone else have any ideas?

It only happens with that game as well, loaded another game and there's no issue. I don't get why it would suddenly just start doing that.

Please state what gaming platform you use.

I will state that I'm running Win7 32bit Ultimate. AMD Dual Core 64 x4200. ATI HD 2600 Pro 512Mb. Game runs on medium with no issues but the occasional lag when running around the countryside.

How many items do you have in your Breezehome containers? Is there a big difference between the number of items between the two saved games you're comparing?

I'm keeping all the unique weapons and the armour sets I'm collecting in that chest. I have noticed that it doesn't take so long to load random chests, though it takes a ages to load corpses. In the other game I have even more weapons and armour which I put in the chest as a test, no lag, same with looting corpses.

I've haven't read about the corpse problem anywhere else.

I have read that if the chest content is high enough it can lag when opening it and that it's relative to how good the video card for the PC is, but if you have even more items in the saved game that isn't lagging, including the unique items, then the volume of items in your chest probably isn't the issue either.

If no one else can provide a solution (or at least an explanation) you can try contacting Bethesda.

Yeah I have, lol. I've already put it to the people on their forum as well, though one of the two replies I've had so far was some idiot bashing my system specs and getting it wrong =P
