Is it wrong that I have almost as much fun reading about Skyrim as I do playing it? Its such a rich world, and neat to be able to debate and discuss the different themes, dilemmas and politics of a well put together fictional world. I think the forums adds the MMO quality of contact with other people to the game. Its one thing to develope a backstory for my character, and another to be able to discuss it with more dorks like myself. Journals like Hrisskar III and the like make my playing experience better.

I seem to be having the same issue as you. I like talking about video games more than i like actually playing them...

I'm especially volnurable to the lure of Skyrim because I'm a major dork on history and Mythology. Greek, Nordic, Egyptian, Native American, can't get enough. And damn Bethesda for balling it all up and plopping it on one virtual continent for me to run around and explore.

I haven't been playing Skyrim much because I limit myself too much with my journaling project. But I can come here any time and talk about it! There is nothing wrong with it if it feels so natural~

I love talking about it, sometimes more than playing it too! Oh and I spent wayyy too much time modding the game, and too little time playing it as well. And thinking of all the rp stuff, but not actually playing it as well. LOL! :p

I must say that I am new to the Elder Scrolls series....But I've got to say that Skyrim is amazing the level of detail and depth that has been put into the game is absolutely unreal and I've been addicted ever since my Girlfriend bought me the game for xmas, Even when I'm not playing it in my spare time at home I find myself getting side tracked online and I end up in the forums discussing it...

I might have spent more hours on the forum than I have actually playing Skyrim. I wouldn't say it's wrong on any levels that you enjoy reading about and discussing Skyrim. It's great to chat about it as you learn new things about the game that you perhaps didn't know about before and that can sometimes extend your experience allowing you to enjoy it more. A combination of Skyrim forums and Skyrim is what everyone needs IMO.

I spend more time in game than I do on the forums, but then I don't sleep that much any way.

I absolutely adore discussing Skyrim...but...whenever I do, I get such a strong urge to play it. I could talk about it forever, but if I couldn't play it, I don't think I would love it QUITE as much.

Let's put it this way... I can't PLAY Skyrim while at work so talking about it is the next best thing! Actually, this forum has helped me find tips and tricks, avoid pitfalls and generally enhanced my Skyrim experience.

That is until I told the wife I had a "follower" in real life. She was miffed enough that I was emotionally attached to Jordis. : )

I'm like Dragon Bourne... except for the wife part... lol
I can't play the game at work, so I hang out on the forum and talk about it, learn about it, teach about it.
I've only got two characters in game... so far... and one of them is nearly completed all the quests and almost done the final quests.
