Skyrim inspired by Bone comics?

Does anyone else get the feeling Skyrim was heavily influenced by the Bone comics? A great war rages in an unfamiliar land. You must find the Jagged Crown (the Crown of Thorns in the Bone comics) to aid in the war. Dragons (friendly in the Bone comics) have returned. Perhaps the giant skeevers were even inspired by the rat creatures from Bone. Any thoughts? Am I the only Bone fan on these forums?

Not to slight against either of the two but it's not the least generic plot you can find.

If it wasn't for the Crown of Thorns / Jagged Crown camparison I wouldn't have made the connection. But they might have both gotten them from the same place.

Umm... no.
Bone is fantastic.

But no. Not even slightly. We've got a crown, some rats and some dragons.... which could be... well... the lion's share of fantasy literature.
