(haha it'd actually be cool if either u or valthor turned vamp, coz there u have your character's mental weakness :being a monster( if of course your character hates being one)

Geel hears the movement, the slight shift towards him in the current of air. Not wasting another moment, he strikes, hoping to catch the vampire unaware.
"Yol!" he shouts, and tongues of glowing white fire leap towards the vampire. His face is illuminated with astonishment as the fire goes closer, before it is obscured by the flames.
Geel pants hard, lungs screaming in protest.
I hope that wasn't Emberlynn I hit, he suddenly thought, worrying that the vampire may have taken use of his lack of sight to fool his other senses.
He had no idea where she was-was she hit by the flame? Yet he could not go see, for he was clutching his knees, trying to stay upright. He felt unbalanced, giddy. Dammit, screw skooma. It had made doing shouts far more energy consumming

(Hmmm.... It's something I would consider because it would certainly make things more interesting, by my God, will Emberlynn hate herself! (though it would probably make her a little more effective in battle) Haha! Perhaps there could be the possibility for a cure, like in the game? If she is able to eventually fix it, I would be ok with her being a vamp for a while XD)

Emberlynn just barely dodges the flames as the blast hits the creature, sending it staggering backward as the flames engulf it.

The vampire is not yet defeated, but it is certainly severely weakened. Emberlynn sends a quick flames spell in its direction for good measure.

    Rale

    Full-time Skeever King, TaliWhacker, Cheeseman
Rale looks at his healer for a moment, then smiles. He shakes the mans hand. "Rale." He nodded.
He hoisted himself off and brushed all the dirt off his armor. "Where were you going, travellar?" He asks quizically.

    Gemini Sierra

Shaking hands with Rale, Geminus replied "Well met Rale. I was on my way to Dawnstar to check in with my Orders outpost there when I came across the giants and you getting pummeled. I'm sorry I didn't get here faster but I was avoiding the other giants. I admit I was fascinated at first having not seen any since I arrived in Skyrim a year ago, and was just watching them when I saw that last one swinging his club."
Looking over Rale's armor, he didn't see any obvious damage. "How are you doing? What are you doing here by yourself? If you don't mind me asking?"

Looking at the altar and then down at the skuff marks around the stone slab, Geminus starts to think Rale might not have been alone and some how managed to get locked outside of whatever was below the altar.

(( what I read was that you were inside, they came in, then the doors closed. so the only ones outside are now myself and Rale))

Rale spoke with honesty in his voice.
"I tagged along with a group of do-gooders who are trying to rid Skyrim of this sudden Falmer threat. I dont get along with them, and vice versa, the only reason I joined them was because I realised that we all die at some point, why miss the oppurtunity of having a good death."
    He walked towards the altar.
"We were entering this altar, then when I was going in it shut on me on me. I stayed outside, fought that giant, got wounded and here we are.. Want to try and get in, or stay out here?" He asked his new comrade.

    (Rarga, you're outside.)

The Vampire screams inhumanely, it's jaw unhinges and lowers, it's teeth elongate and his figure becomes twisted and painfully contorted into a more monstrous form. "Asgothlan will stalk Skyrim once more!" He roars before backhanding Alistar away with immense force. Alistar is sent flying back, before slamming against the stone wall and sinking to the floor. His ears are ringing and his vision is blurred, he's heavily discombobulated and as he tries to stand he nearly falls over.

Geminus looks over at Rale at his comment about 'do-gooders' and laughs a little bit with concern at the not getting along with his group. He wondered why they weren't getting along and also about this 'Falmer threat' he mentions.
"What is this about a Falmer threat and what is a Falmer? I haven't heard of these creatures in the time I have spent here," he asked while wondering how he could have missed that and makes a mental note to check that out.
"Now about this altar, you say you were entering the altar? Hmmm, I wonder how you'd do that," he asks not really intending it to be answered.
Picking up his shield and helmet where he set them down and strapping the shield across his back and tucking his helmet under his arm, he says "First, let me go back there and get my horse before it decides to wander off and bring it over here where it will hopefully be less of a meal choice for those giants. Then we can look at this altar and figure out how it was opened."
Taking off at a quick jog that seemed nearly impossible because of the armor he was wearing ((see the description in the character card :D )) and returned shortly with a horse in tow. He tied the horse to a nearby tree and fed it an apple before coming over to the altar again to examine it.
"There must be some kind of button or switch that was tripped to originally open it. Judging by the scuff marks around this rock slab, there must be a door here leading down." He looks around the altar for anything obvious but doesn't spot anything.
"Do you see anything that looks like a button or a lever? A cleverly disguised switch perhaps?" He asked Rale.
"OH yeah, by the way, I think it might be a good idea to go look for your group. They could be in trouble right?" He smiled at Rale, then continued to look for a lever.

    Rale

Rale smirked at Geminus' lack of knowledge about the Falmer. "The Falmer used to be named the snow elves, until the Dwemer tricked and enslaved them. Centuries of being underground and abused led to them going blind. Now they attack anyone who dares to cross thier path, but for some reason, they have risen from the ground and are back for revenge at us.....surface dwellers."
He pulled out his ebony bow, Eclipse, and started polishing it with his sleeve. He hears Geminus' suggestion and says. "I just survived a giant, with your help of course, I think a group of four can manage whatevers in there." He looks up and stands from the altar. "Though I guess it couldnt hurt seeing whats inside there."
He began to examine the stone structure.

BUT I CANT ITS SCARY! his subconcious thinks. While he is having this inner struggle he gears the fight but dosent know whats going on.Thats when he sees a figure coming out of the gloom "Alistar is that you?".Thats when the thing raises its head and he sees the peircing red eyes "Your not Alistar!" He said before drawing his sword and unbuckling his sheild

    Melee

    I'm back, bitches
As the entire situation unfolded, Melee knew she should have never hoped that something good (or at least, not incredibly bad) would happen to them. It seemed like they were doomed as long as they were in this quest to destroy the Falmer menace.

The light spell she had cast after the torch initially went out didn't last very long, only about a minute or so. After that disappeared, they were again plunged into darkness. Instead of trying to use all of their resources and just stay in one spot, she decided to carefully move ahead of the group, deeper into the darkness of the cave in hopes of finding another door or way out.

Unfortunately for Melee, the path was not as easy and straightforward as she had hoped it would be. She expected to stumble over some rocks, maybe bump into the wall once in a while when the path twisted unexpectedly. No. As she reached what she thought was a dead end in the cavern, she stepped on a particularly damp and mossy stone, plunging her sideways into a hidden hole in the side of the wall. Her heart dropped as the initial shock of the fall hit her, and she thought she would fall forever. This obviously wasn't the case since she hit the ground about 3 feet below the floor she had just fallen from.

The crevice Melee had fallen into was not particularly small; in reality, that was what terrified her most about it. If it had been smaller, she would have been able to easily feel where the hole was in the wall and return to the group (and warn them about the damned rock she had stepped on). Since she had absolutely no idea where that hole was, she decided to just yell for help in order to avoid getting even more lost.

However, every time she tried to yell, a giant roar seemed to shake the very cavern they all found themselves in. Was it storming again? Or was there something much more dangerous outside of the cave? For a split second, she was actually happy she was in a pitch black cave, instead of outside where she would have to deal with whatever made that noise.

As she was about to yell for help again, she saw a faint glow to her left that grew increasingly brighter until it was right outside her hole. When she heard the voices of her companions, she immediately ran to the wall and climbed out, still completely terrified of her surroundings. As she came through the wall, she saw that they must have opened the wall that she ran into earlier. When she peered inside, an even more terrifying sight met her widening green eyes as she pulled out her bow.

Great, she thought. A damn vampire.

(Oh gosh sorry that was so long. Haha. I'll get a bit more involved in the fight after more people have posted. I just felt like there was a lot there. xD)

Emberlynn looks down at the crumpled figures of Alistar and Valthor that lie a few feet away on the floor, then quickly searches the rest of the dimly-lit chamber. The only other member of their party in sight was the Argonian. She takes a moment to marvel at the immense improbability that the spineless young girl from Cyrodiil and the blind Argonian addict would be the two people still standing in the fight against a vampire.

But she has little time to ponder this amazing fact before the creature is once again approaching her. Emberlynn slashes at his still-burning form with her sword, but, once again, misses... The monster is too fast for her. If only grandpa had lived long enough to teach me how to properly use this damn thing, she laments before swinging yet again.

(Seriously though, who would have thought that out of those four characters, me and Geel would still be fighting while Alistar and Valthor got knocked down? XD)

(I imagine he'd go for the biggest threats first. XD)

Alistar struggles to stand, he can make out Valthor trying to heal his wounds with a potion, but the vampire is already upon the Dragonborn once more. The sick and twisted creature grabs Valthor by his left forearm with one hand and lifts him from the ground.

"So weak and fragile." Utters Asgothlan before he literally snaps the bone in Valthor's arm with a light squeeze.

    Melee

    I'm back, bitches
Melee raises her bow just in time to see the vampire nearly slash Emberlynn as it dodges her sword attacks. As Emberlynn turns from the momentum of her slashes, she catches a glimpse of a wound on her shoulder. It can't be from anything before this fight with the vampire, but it already looks like the skin around it is infected. Melee makes a subconscious mental note to look at that if they get out of here.

Notching an arrow in her bow, she takes aim at the vampire. Her main focus is to get the his attention off of Emberlynn and Valthor, and toward her. Maybe if they keep directing his attention away from each other at the same time, they'll distract him enough to get some real damage done to him.

Upon hearing the crunch, Melee gasps and cringes. Even though she hasn't even directly encountered the vampire, he is affecting her more than the fights with the chaurus and Falmer have. This is an enemy who will use their weaknesses against them, and gain much enjoyment from it. Feeling sick to her stomach, Melee lets loose her arrow, hoping to do some damage to the vampire, if any at all.

    Mr.Self Destruct

    Chosen Undead
Melee's arrow pierces right beside the vampire's collar bone, it drops Valthor and turns toward Melee with wide, red eyes and a foaming maw glistening with needle like teeth. "You'll pay for that!" It roars, when suddenly a dagger is thrown into its side, the blade pierces the Vampire's flesh deeply, and it shrieks in pain before ripping out the dagger by the hilt.

It turns toward the source of the throw, Alistar, now on his feet with his sword ready. The vampire, now enraged, charges at Alistar. Alistar braces himself and quickly weaves out of the way of the oncoming vampire whilst slashing downwards, the blade catches below the monster's knee and it shrieks in pain before tumbling to the floor.

(Shhh, Mr SD. Me and Geel are totally secret BAMFs. :p d)

Emberlynn's heart drops into her stomach as she watches the creature so heartlessly break the Dragonborn's arm. She had to do something -- fast. But what?

Before she has time to decide, an arrow comes whizzing by her, planting itself deep into the vampire's chest. Both he and Emberlynn's heads snap in the direction of the attack, and relief immediately comes to Emberlynn's face at the sight of Melee. One more person on their side.

The next moment, Alistar is back in the fight as well, and Emberlynn feels her confidence begin to grow. As Alistar's blow sends the creature to the floor, Emberlynn swipes at the vampire yet again, this time making contact with its back. The burning wound left there leaves the creature crying out in agony and frustration yet again. It lashes out with one of its arms, making contact with Emberlynn's calf.

He roughly throws her to the floor a few feet away from him, winded but uninjured.

    Gemini Sierra

    Pre-emptive Salvage Specialist
    [Back outside]

Geminus looks up from his search at Rale after that last comment, "Yes, one big giant nearly crushed you to death, for all we know this could be a bottomless pit and your friends will be gone. However, it may just be some kind of spring loaded door and your friends are on the other side trying to find their way out. Either way, don't you want to know what happened?"
He then looks back at the altar thinking to himself, "If only I had a clue what to look for, this might be easier. All those time as a squire for the old Knights and the trips they took, we always had a skilled ranger to assist us in this kind of thing. I should've taken some training from them."
Looking back at Rale, he chuckles aloud and then says, "OH, Sorry, that wasn't towards you, I was remembering my days as a squire and how we had a trained ranger with us when we went on quests. You wouldn't be a ranger would you? Might you know what to look for in the ways of hidden latches and the like?"
Thinking he might have broached a poor subject, he quickly added, "Oh, so these Falmer creature used to be Elves, and the Dwarve enslaved them and they live in underground areas. Nasty creature eh? Kind of sound like the Goblins I knew of in Cyrodiil." He looked over at Rale and said, "and now you say these creatures are coming out of the ground in force? For revenge? I wonder what has provoked them such."
Getting frustratedthat he can't find any kind of switch or lever, Geminus stands up straight and stretches. Brushing off some dirt along the edges of his armored knee covers, he leans back against the altar. There's an audible "CLICK" and the rock slab that the altar sits on splits down the middle and reveals a set of stairs leading down. As the doors start to move, he notices that Rale is just starting to step onto the rock slab and shouts, "Hey Watch out!"
