What is the purpose for the stones of beneziah? What do you gain from collecting all of them? please tell me more than 10k?

you have to collect like 20 or so of them. take em to vex at thieves guild riften. not got em all yet so don't know full value

I know that much i have 16..but still i want to know if anyone has completed and gotten the reward..

Upon getting it appraised, the player learns that 24 exist in total and are only valuable as a whole set. Most, if not all, are found in the extra jobs for the Thieves Guild.
